These are better make examples than kit fisto.

I think we need someone asian, or at least asian looking. It's not that I just want asian actors, after all I don't have a problem with Ray Park as Vegeta. But I simply can't picture Jackman as the childlike Goku that was raised by his grandfather and trained in the forms of martial arts in the secluded mountains.
^Adam would be a great Adult Gohan.
When Fox first anounced they bought the rights to make the film in 2002, they had the art department whip up a teaser poster for it and leaked it to the web:

I don't see many of those happening. Especially the last 2. Jackie is way too old for krillin and Zhang Ziyi though I love her isn't versed enough in comedic acting to play Chichi. Also, her accent might be a problem.
Dan Southworth or as I like to call him VERGIL from Devil May Cry. Might make a good Goku though.
Man I really hope this happens, and Ray Park MUST be Vegeta. I remember back in 02 my pic for Goku was Russell Wong, he's probably too old now.

Has this movie been confirmed by anyone other than Anime News Network? It's not that they haven't been reliable in the past, but this is BIG news.
Actually not true. George financed the prequels, and brought them in for cheap. He spent about 50 million for episode 1 (confirmed on the making of DVD in a meeting with George and the ILM department heads), EP about 65-70 mill (again confirmed on the DVD making of) and 3 cost about 100 mill. CGI proved to be cheaper than makeup in a lot of cases. Jar Jar was originally supposed to be the Ahmed Best in the body suit, and a CGI head replacement. You can see in the making of DVD, in an on set meeting between Lucas and John Knoll, where Knoll goes down on the price breakdown of the head replacement and the full CGI version, with the full cgi version being cheaper to do. Lucas at that points complains about the cost of the suit they had Best wearing. And you can see in the meeting when he says how much it will cost to make in both films, he tells them we can not go over this budget at all. And they did things to not go over it. Lucas kept a tight reign on not going over the budget as he was paying for it out of pocket.CGI costs an incredible amount of money to produce. The only reason CGI characters are used in Star Wars at all are for 2 reasons only. #1 George Lucas has more money than god and doesn't care how much it cost to make. #2 Those Characters that are CGI only appear for small amount of time unless extremely pivotal to the story.
