OK IT'S TIME TO JUST COME OUT AND ADMIT IT!

There would be so many problems and challenges with a live action DBZ that i canot even begin to count them.

The hair wil be a huge challenge for it not to look ridiculous, they would have to cgi the hair at some stages or change how it works. Instead of making it stand up they should have goku with much shorter hair and when he transforms the hair grows and rises. The fight scenes? damn a tough one, they are still having trouble with spiderman swinging and fighting, imagine all these guys fighting in mid-air using martial arts and throwing energy blasts at each other.

If they make them they should do the first one be the saiyan saga. you know goku dies i nthe first act goes and trains hard comes back and arrives just in time to save gohan bla bla bla.
Vegeta and goku fight and the end.

Film 2 namek: ginyu force,vegeta, sarbon,dodoria and frieza of course in two and a half hours you can cover it perfectly.

Part 3 Cell: Including the droids in the first and second act(Vegeta becomes super saiyan and all that stuff) of the film then the final act is the cell games or whatever they're called. make it a little longer than film 2. that's it. no buu unless they do part 4

Oh and after namek vegeta should become a semi-good guy. An antihero and a total jerk. But we should see the good side of him from time to time just like we did on the AS.

I'd be fine with it as long as Stephen Chow is directing. Over the top action at it's best. Very kid friendly as well like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle.

dragon ball really isn't serious until the multi-episode fighting finally winds down to some kind of actual fight for a character's life etc.

GOOD! I don't want a serious DBZ movie. Sure there'll be serious elements but even Disney movies have those. Just make a fun kid-friendly action flick. Some jokes will be catered to them and some will go right over their heads. A good action comedy like Shaolin Soccer and Kung Fu Hustle with a cameo from Jackie Chan. In fact both Jackie Chan and Stephen Chow should play prominent roles. Now that's a good action-comedy team.

People were vaporized, blown up, crushed, and impaled in Spider-man 1, 2, and 3 and I consider those pretty kid friendly.

Abby, what's to get? Bad guy wants to destroy for no reason. Good guy must stop him. 7 episode fight. Bad guy has been hiding his true power! He transforms! 3 episode fight. Good guy is losing! Now he must transform as well. 10 more episodes of fighting. And so on and so forth.
