Speaking of Wolverine, Logan is raising his running total through his third weekend to $184.3M after an estimated $17.8M (-53%) and Saturday $7.7M (+65%). This makes the threequel easily the highest grossing title in the Wolverine trilogy beating 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine ($179.88M). Logan has already left X-Men ($157.2M), last year’s X-Men: Apocalypse ($155.4M), X-Men: First Class ($146.4M) and The Wolverine ($132.6M) in the dust. His next conquest is X2: X-Men United ($214.9M).

from twitter logan did 17.4 million this weekend bringing it up to 184 million domesticly.

so logan basicly is officially ahead of origins now:cwink:

it's up to 481 million WW so it's getting closer to 500 million WW.

Wow I knew Batb was going to open more than $100 million. What a beast! Another hit for IanMcKellen!

it is proobally doing somewhere in the 600 million range.

logan is testerment of quality leading to hit.of course it also helps that
Hugh jackman as wolverine and Patrick Stewart as xavier can help get people into theaters.
 
great numbers for Logan. 600 seems certain I don't think it will hit 700 though. what other markets does Logan still have to open in ?
 
Japan is the only one left. Though it should at least outgross Apocalypse so that's great.

Logan is going to break 700 million, 100%. You guys are bad at maths or what? The question is will it pass DOFP? In ticket sales, it will definetely surpass DOFP but in gross, it's still in the air.

It's about where Doctor Strange was after two weeks, and while the critical acclaim will help it's BO total, the R rating will offset that somewhat. 650 is probably safe.

Either people are looking at Rotten Tomatoes (though I dispute its popularity among ordinary folk), or seeing reviews on their local cinema website (each film listed has an overall rating from customer reviews on the Odeon websites, for instance), or the newspaper they read (whether daily, or Sunday papers, or online).

Logan is the highest rated current release on the Odeon websites, it has 4.5 while BaTB and Kong both have 4.

Also, Logan or Kong are likely the preferred choice for dads and boys on this weekend while mums and girls go to Beauty and the Beast. Not the case with everyone of course, but I saw a couple of people mention this behaviour on Facebook.

In the UK, Logan is rated 15, meaning suitable only for persons of 15 years and older.

Studios put tomato scores in TV spots and even on DVD covers. Suffice it to say, its recognized and used by the general audience.

I also wanna bet it will surpass DOFP and The Last Stand Domestic gross.
