it will surpass X2 in the USA.
The gorilla faced off with the Wolverine in most markets as last week’s champ Logan shredded another $69.1M for an overseas cume of $284.4M ($435.8M worldwide). The sophomore offshore frame reps a 56% drop from open with Fox/Marvel’s well-reviewed R-rated pic tracking nicely versus other X-Men titles.
One of the best holds of the franchise.
OMG I'm sorry for that guy. It must have been terrible for him to found out like this. Best for the family. The wife and I went to see Kong on Sunday, and the theater was about half full. Afterwards, a guy who had just bought 2 tickets for Logan, asked us if we wanted his tickets because he had a family emergency and couldn't stay for the movie. We took em, went into the theater, and was completely shocked to see it almost sold out. Definitely more people there to see Logan than Kong.
BTW, we found out after the movie that the guy who gave us the tickets lost his son in a car accident. His name is Brian. If you pray, pray for his family.
I hope Jackman had some kind of back-end deal for this picture after taking that pay-cut to ensure it was made. Dude deserves to bathe in money for this one.
If it settles in the top 3 above Apocalypse and TLS that would just be perfect. I'm still massively satisfied that this is crushing Origins. I genuinely didn't know what to expect from this.
I'm pretty sure Logan will make the top 3.
I'd say it's heading towards 600 m WW.
To be fair, he already does. And has for a while.I hope Jackman had some kind of back-end deal for this picture after taking that pay-cut to ensure it was made. Dude deserves to bathe in money for this one.
Logan has surpassed X-Men Apocalypse domestically.

Not surprising. That movie really underperformed so bad. Which makes me think - what if X-Men Apocalypse became the final X-Men movie of Hugh/Patrick, then it had the other Ot cast members. It would have gotten more money at the box office.
