sorry but fox isn't WB.say what you want but fox doesn't change plans on a whim. They have pretty much stuck to plans they had when apocalypse was coming out.

Last stand is at 58% at rt while Apocalypse is at 48% that isn't very good for last stand eather.and jackman was able to help origins at 38% do better domesticly than Apocalypse.

They are in a comfortable position with all these planned movies, its not dumb at all.

WB would claw their eyes out to have films on the level of Days of Future Past, Deadpool, and Logan. Deadpool 2 and New Mutants have quite a bit of talent attached to them, and things are shaping up nicely with Joe Carnahan's involvement with X-Force.

Right now the only thing that looks like a potential misfire is Supernova, and Kinberg's role as director is by no means a certain thing at this point. Worst case scenario is that film is another Apocalypse, they ditch Kinberg and get a new creative team onboard for the next film. All things considered, the X-Franchise is pretty healthy at this point.

Fox Is in much better shape than WB.At least Kinberg can admit when things don't go quite well for them with Last Stand and apocalypse while WB doudbles down and refuses to admit missteps.

i am not exactly overjoyed by prospect of kinberg directing but If Kinberg decides to emalute singer's work on X-Men,X2,and DOFP and we get
ok but not great installment it will make.even with 48% on RT
Apocalypse made 155 million domesticly and 545 million WW.

If lawrence is nowhere to be seen In Supernova that will make many happy:cwink:

A recasting isn't stupid. Also, not about the Logan box office.

X men, X men 2, X men first class, X men days of future past, Deadpool and Logan !!!
These six movies are good to great !!!
80% and over on rotten tomatoes !!!
So, this is no personal opinion, but the fact !!!
The dislike might be personal opinion.

Lets be honest, WB would claw their eyes out to have films on the level of The Wolverine and Apocalypse, too. ;)

I have to admit there is a certain level of fear when C. Lee quotes someone.

I don't, because I've never seen him be anything but just. If his wrath descends on someone, they did something to warrant it.

Probably 400-500. As great as the movie was I think it may struggle a bit more with the repeat viewings that something like Deadpool probably enjoyed.

I have a feeling it'll do bigger business than that, but we'll see.

I'm betting on a 85-90 mill opening weekend... but yeah we'll see. I'm going big with my guess lol.

For the U.S. I am sensing lower than $55 million for the opening weekend. I just don't think there's a huge hype for this. And upon seeing the film, I don't think it would have great legs.

So, it's apparently tracking for a $170 million WW weekend debut.

That's great, especially for an R-rated film! From what I've heard, I really think it deserves a good run at the BO.

Yeah that would be another win for Fox. :)

Its weird though. Many industry insiders and journalists are thinking this will open closer to $90 million + in the USA.

Let's be honest. If Hugh didn't initiate his vision of Logan and insist on it we wouldn't have gotten Logan. We would've probably gotten another Origins or something or that 3rd act from The Wolverine. I don't think they are great planners. They just need to give creative freedom to the directors that's all. When they do that they offer something different, something good.

About the box office. Sadly unless your film is a comedy first and foremost nothing else really matters, R rating or not. People forgive most of their flaws and it makes all the money (GOTG, Deadpool). Logan is not an easy sell sadly. 200m ww would be superb. It's a shame it doesn't do as much as GOTG, Deadppol because I think Logan is not only waaay better than those films it's also a more important film I think which we ALL can or at some point will relate to. Yes it has cool action, awesome use of R rating, gore, badass but also a story, a meaning, emotion.

Jesus does he have to ruin people's enthusim.there has been tracking I have seen that says it may outdo the wolverine,First class, and apocalypse domesticly.and remember this is r rated film too.It will even play In China.
