I wasn't throwing that money around I was sure I would win. And why should I buy more Logan tickets? It's a great movie but I'm not going to pay the bills for Fox, obviously

Because with 56.9% 2nd weekend drop, Logan has the best hold in the franchise. For comparison DOFP dropped by 64.2%. Thanks to the best reviews in the genre (par TDK) its strong legs are very likely to stay.

I made a mistake. I believed what I read in an article. This time I properly checked and it looks you're right. I was wrong by 3.7%. But still this doesn't change the meaning and purpose of my post, even one bit.

It's funny that this is the only thing I didn't properly check. That speaks volumes for the quality of the writing of Hollywood reporters.

There's quite a few films I want to see at the moment which is rare for March, so the competition chipping away at Logan's legs is there.

I wondered back in last summer why we could have 3 block busters in 3 consecutive weekends in MARCH (probably because studios want to take advantage of spring break in the US). April this year only has F8 (and Smufs, though as I've heard trailer wasn't as well received with kids as Boss Baby). Last year schedule was much more balance: Deadpool, Zootopia, BvS, Jungle Book, CW, Finding Dory, all were 3 weeks apart from the other.

This is one thing I asked Mangold on Twitter if he could make happen. Jackman has never done a commentary for any of his films (not that it bothers me), but I'm hoping he'll reconsider for LOGAN since it's his last go at the character.

Estimate slipped to $10 million as of this morning but still an excellent number, especially after losing 500+ theaters vs. last weekend. Logan has great claws but even better legs.
