I'm going to re-watch "Léon: The Professional" tonight to get myself hyped for "Logan". I bet they will give us some nice references to this movie classic in Logan. Let's hope the actress playing 23 is as good as Natalie Portman.

Everythig sounds super cool so far. They only sad thing for me is that they will ruin "Days of Future Past"'s emotional happy ending and cause Logan even more pain...

I really really hope they will include a Rogue cameo in this movie. Rogue and Logans relationship was so tender and beautifully done by Singer in "X-Men 1" and is mirrors Wolverine's new father daughter relationship with X23. It would be such a nice moment to see Wolverine's story come full circle from "X-Men 1" to "Logan" 17 years later.

Why would the name be the only thing the film takes influence from? I'm pretty sure Logan is going to take inspiration from the Jean Reno/Natalie Portman dynamic more than the naming of their film after the adult.

yeah it depends whether the movie is influenced by it at all, only reason I mentioned the name is because calling it just "Logan" is what fuelled the speculation

And could they be making their version of Legacy Virus/Terrigen Mist/No More Mutants for the downfall of mutant population?

The Terrigen mist is that Inhumans fart nonsense killing mutants in the comics right? One of the many ways Marvel are trying to marginalize the Xmen in the comics.It would be cool if Fox uses something similar as a plot-point here. Marvel seems to be unintentionally giving Fox ideas.

It's just Logan and Charles that we know have aged quite a bit right? If that's the case, then they've only been able to maintain some semblance of youth due to their powers. And those powers are deteriorating. A year is enough time for time itself to catch up to two seemingly immortal guys that ain't so immortal anymore.

Hair follicles can repair themselves under some circumstances so its not impossible that he may be able to grow some amount of hair.

And I doubt Mangold really gives a rat's ass. He wanted a dishevelled worn out Xavier and the wispy hair adds to it. So thats what he has.

It was never going to be called Wolverine 3. None of the films have been numbered. The closest was the second X-men film which was X2: X-men United instead of X-men 2. Wolverine 3 wouldnt have worked either bc this isnt a sequel to the first two films which have been effectively wiped out of existence in this continuity. Its too bad The Wolverine was used bc Logan: The Wolverine does sound like it would have been good

Though they're only set pics, only Patrick's stubble was really noticeable. So I agree in that I doubt people are going to be fretting over random wisps hair that occurred as a result of declining powers.

Being set in the future at least alleviates the concerns about the lack of a hover chair too, as they're probably just undercover or something.

The ending of DOFP was 2023 though.

I can only hope Mangold delivers on subverting the genre tropes like his script tease said and creates something truly humanistic. No more giant robots! I think having Laura in there will provide the story a really great emotional core, like Logan/Rogue in X1.
