Assuming its the same character, he could very well be a character that doesnt age. His powers werent exactly detailed

Or he could play the horseman version of Caliban. I hope Mangold and Singer didn't have conversations about Caliban for no reason.

what from that picture posted makes you think there is any resemblance of a Horseman there? He clearly isnt and considering this movie isnt about Apocalypse, I dont see them trying to say Apocalypse was revived at some point in the 40 year gap to make a new set of Horsemen

instead look for X-23 to become the "Wolverine" of deadpool and X-force franchise.

I think Deadpool movies/X-force and all spinoff will all take place between Deadpool and DOFP'end (2016-2023)

You didn't hear what happened to the X-Men in the wolverine and the end credit scene doesn't count because it was written in much later by bryan singer to tie the film to DOFP.

But that wasn't explained in the wolverine, infact when they wrote the wolverine they likely had no idea DOFP was coming since they ended up cutting an ending to what was likely was going to lead to a 3rd solo movie.

I disagree they are introducing X-23 to become new wolverine or since deadpool is new star of franchise now that Jackman is gone help fill wolverine void In X-force.X-force based on this is probaly set after logan.
deadpool sequels are likely set in present day while the other confirmed spin-off new mutants is likely set sometime after apocalypse based on rumors and fact Kinberg confirmed Xavier and patrick stewart has said logan is likely his last film as xavier.the fact stewart spoiled him being In Logan long before anyone would confirm it makes me believe him on the matter.

The viral campagin shouldn't be taken as gospel.

I'm carefully optimistic about this movie. It would be a time for Wolverine to get a full Wolverine movie, if you know what I'm saying. And it would honor Hugh Jackman. The Wolverine from 2013. was a decent film for me (except robot at the end, that was ****ing awful), but I think that we're yet to see really compelling story about Logan.

This is R-rated like it should be, we have Wolverine and Caliban wandering around in dystopian America, senile Professor X, X-23, Donald Pierce... Mr. Sinister's the only one who I'm kinda doubtful on. It sounds cool and those photos are all very atmospheric. James Mangold knows how to film a good movie.

Just don't give us another dull, generic story, please.

Donald Pierce has superhuman strength and reflexes plus he can create different types of energy thanks to his cybernetic body. I can see them bypassing the cybernetic body origin and just making him a mutant.

Donald Pierce is defined as being a cyborg and he HATES mutants. You effectively change the character if they were to do what you suggest. Thankfully that doesnt seem to be the case. That would be like making Magneto a human that has a suit that grants him magnet powers

Why aren't Cyborgs along that line? I always liked seeing the X-Men fight Cyborgs and especially the creepy Reavers. Humans turning themselves into machines seem to me a natural progression in a universe with mutants. How else can you keep up?

I really do hope we will get a new version of Lady Deathstrike or Omega Red reinterpreted as a Reaver. I think both have amazing character designs and are great villains for Wolverine.

The Wolverine would have benefited from Logan being the only mutant in the movie. So I don't see why a mutant villain is a must, which doesn't mean that there won't be one.

I'm really liking the gritty atmosphere they're teasing. This one could be special.

Yeah I agree. The Wolverine was a decent film, but it didn't get me all that excited before it came out. This one already managed to create a lot more hype. t:
