Costume? It was just like the one he had in X3 but with a red X.

OK how about this Mister Literal. Colossus in X3/DoFP looked like **** and Colossus in DP did not. Better?

I don't actively remember X3 or care about anything that happened in it or getting details about it correct because I hate that movie

I don't just mean his clothing just small details that an actual X-Men fan like Miller would include to the character that actually cares about Colossus. The lines of detail on his arm, the way his flat top looks (X3 is just a piss poor look and looks very cheap compared to Deadpool's version which is just sad). His organic metal flesh just looks better in DP. He looks made out of tinfoil in X3

The accent adds to his look I just CANNOT stand when X-Men movies makes foreign xmen characters speak with bland plain old american accents.

X3 Colossus is trash and I can't remember if he had dialogue but it can't be worst then his pathetic one line only in DoFP

"Mystique"

God I hate Singer & Kinberg

I've noticed that Mystique is no where to be found in those comics or its covers.

This is almost turning into IMBD or site that shall not be named with all the bashing of all the X-men films that isn't deadpool.this film doesn't have colorful costumes eather.while wolverine looks like death of wolverine version x-23
looks younger than any version.besides death of wolverine only caliban looks
like anything from the comics.Mangold wolverine films resemble the comics even less than singer's.I like the wolverine but you can only call it very loosly inspired by the japenese saga.Apocalypse has more incommon with fall of the mutants than it had with japanese saga.DOFP had more to do with comic storyline than the wolverine did with Japanese saga.

I have to laugh in that people bash X-men films for not following contunity and in same breath are like why should next film follow contunity.

Oh, does this get an early overseas release? That would make sense, considering the heavy competition in March and the movie drought in late February.

Its out in March 1, which is a Wednesday. Though I'll probably watch it during the weekend because I can't go to cinemas during the weekdays.

To play devil's advocate, DOFP did also include the rings around his arms, and looked far better than X3 in general IMO. Singer had a better eye for detail than Ratner did. That said, the Deadpool version is by far the best representation of the character and not just visually.

No disrespect to the actor playing Colossus in the older films, but he was never there for his talent, only his size. Clearly evidenced, as soon as someone wrote the character to have some dialogue and personality, he was gone.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe Colossus had one line in X3 too. It was "she took off". Captivating stuff, haha.

Wasn't X3 colossus basically a practical costume that had some CGI added to it later on?

Praise the Lord.

She had no business being depicted as Storm's poster hero or the X-Men's leader.

I think the comics are meant to be a homage the actual real life comics and not the actual film series.

They can show wolverine in costume on those comics but doesn't mean at any point they will throw him into one, its basically just for Logan.

- If the rumor is true. [BLACKOUT]Some mutants are alive in Logan because they had healing factor. It is very important because it's mean Caliban could age slowly like Wolverine and Mystique. Maybe, there isn't wo Caliban but one with healing factor
[/BLACKOUT]

Well going by what mangold said it doesn't sound like that was the idea in mind and while you could probably head canon it i think the character be abit to different to do that

Thank you! I had this debate a few pages back, and was told that she was never depicted as their leader. :loco:

I disagree. Mangold said that in Logan the X-Men are celebrated as heroes. They're like celebrities. Makes sense that they'd have a comic book written about their adventures. Which is why I'm still holding out hope for quick shot of Hugh in the costume.

I had no doubt that Logan would be a decent length (Fox haven't been stingey like that since Origins), but it's good to have it confirmed. Funny how being over the 2 hour mark imediately boosts confidence.

Yeah there was a horrid costume that was used in wide shots and such.

But how would anyone know about these adventure? its pretty much comic fiction, a 3rd might have happened, "but not like this."

Either way they are quite clearly meant to be a homage to real life comics and likely ain't to be a prediction of anything.

Continuity means **** but in Fox-Men universe Mystique should be the most popular in universe. Her picture is seen all over the world. She's the entire world's hero (barf)

And Wolverine outlived all the X-Men in Logan, the films are it their own thing, just like they said the tv shows are their own things.

That's not what he's saying. He's saying in the events of the film universe have made mutants public knowledge - such as Mystique stopping Magneto in DOFP. Logan outliving everyone doesn't change the fact that the X-Men have saved the world twice already (and probably many more times later on) and that people knew about mutants. Sure, Logan says that all of it may not have happened the way it was depicted in comics, but the point is that the X-Men are known and revered and regular people reacted to it accordingly. You don't need some random person following all of the X-Men on their adventures to write fictional stories about them.

Wouldn't it be funny if Mangold didn't know who Mystique is?

Those same people are on this page. lol
