Would be great if Stewart and Hugh get a Golden Globes nomination for their performance in this movie.

I'll get on the Ryan Reynolds-led hype train and hope this film can get some love from the major award categories at the Oscars. I think if anyone has a chance at getting big recognition, it'll be Dafne though. Like Anna Paquin in The Piano.

That contradicts the 40 min preview that people saw. It was reported that they mention an "incident in the east" involving Xavier, wiping out a bunch of mutants.

It could mean that he just got rid of everyone's powers somehow. I don't know, I'm just trying to be optimistic because I really don't like the idea of everyone being killed lol. I guess we'll see.

Closest we'll get to the Old Man Logan reference there, and love the Prof schooling him about he ain't the best there is anymore.

I saw a TV spot today. Not sure which one, but it got me more hyped then any of the trailers, and I loved both trailers. This film looks incredible.

You can cut Origins out, but TW and DOFP ground their premises on the aftermath of TLS.

You can't really cut out Origins (sure, it's your choice but still). Most of it's premises are on the weapon X flashbacks of X1 and X2, the subtle history between Wolverine and Sabertooth from X1, and the "work we did together" part William Stryker spoke of in X2. Plus, Wolverine's cameo in First Class pretty much ties that film to Origins because both films (along with DOFP) were set in the middle of the Vietnam war.

when they id their best to merge FC,OT,and both wolverine films they ignored fact wolverine should be in vietnam with sabretooth insteaded of being mafia bodyguard

however thereare other ways origins is tied to dofp

shots of origins weapon x bonding scene are melded with ones from X-Men and X2

wolverine having bone claws is honoring both wolverine films

logan called jimmy is taken from origins.

Stryker having rank of major in 1973 also comes from Origins.

I also assumed you would throw in how Xavier first met Cyclops, even though, Xavier in FC trilogy is neither bald nor walking by this time.
Origins was set much closer to the end of the Vietnam War and after it.
First Class was set around the year of the Cuban Missile Crisis.

I saw a brief commercial today on FOX NL. In it they encourage viewers to watch the season premiere of LEGION on Thursday to see "exclusive Logan footage".

I'm not holding my breath since last year their so called X-Men Apocalypse 'exclusive' was the trailer that everyone had already seen.

Although lets face it if you want an Origin story for hugh jackmans wolverine then Origins is the best you are gonna get at this point while apocalypse gave a look at an alternative take on it rather then being a remake.

Origins was the beginning of the end for inconsistent continuity concerns.
I prefer Apocalypse's alternative take. Although, I'm not big on that direction of his escape either. I also prefer Logan being forced into the program rather than consenting.
