Wishful thinking. If people didn't go see a movie called "Superman", NO ONE is going to see one called "Lois Lane's Big Adventure".

Ah, gotcha. If it was in continuity with SR though, she wouldn't be interested. The ISBN guys (is it "ISBN?" I might have the acronym wrong) got her on camera once and fired away some point blank questions on potential Superman film projects. Suffice it to say, she's pretty loyal to her guy, which was nice to hear.Showtime029 said:In the movie. Lois Lane Returns.
If by "all" you mean you, then you're entitled to your opinion. I would disagree. She hasn't taken the "ace reporter" mantle yet, but she's got all her ducks in a row with the characterization. Loquacious, straight forward (if not completely acerbic) and always on the run. It's not a stretch to see how her future Lois will only have time for her work, her stories, and Superman. And Durance is actually fun to watch too. Wow, what a concept?Pickle-El said:We all know that doesn't *really* count.![]()

The recent "Tristan and Isolde" movie was pretty good...take a look at it when you get the time.Showtime029 said:First there was Romeo and Juliet, and before that there was Tristan and Isolde, but now there is Jimmy and Lois: The Untold Story.

RakuMon said:Like I alluded to in my original post, I think the best reason (or excuse) for a Lois Lane-centered story would be this scenario:
After Season 7, Tom Welling, Kristin Kreuk and Mike Rosenbaum decide they've played these characters long enough and want to move on with their careers. Totally understandable.
However, The CW, seeing how Smallville is such a cash cow for their fledgling network doesn't want to lose their flagship show after only two years in existence.
So after the SV series finale, CW convinces Al & Miles to develop a spin off show starring Erica, Allison Mack, Michael McKean and Aaron Ashmore to do a Daily Planet-centered show (TW & MR could do occasional guest appearances, I suppose, though I think the series finale of "The Daily Planet" should be Clark's first day at the paper.)
It could work because the DP staff is already established on the show. And to keep the sci-fi/mysteries angle, Perry could put Lois, Chloe and Jimmy on the Metahuman Beat, or something. The dynamics would be similar to SV (maybe some sort of love interest for Lois, preferably not a Leaguer) and could maintain most of SV's audience.
A show basically based on this, I'd watch:

LOL! Thanks. I do like Erica's take on the character. She's really good.Kal-El 8 said:Wow, that was an amazing replay, I don't think I'd ever exspect you to say .

"Superman" as a named character doesn't exist yet in SV continuity. He's just Clark Kent for now. What Lois knows about Clark in the future may never be addressed in SV because it's beyond the scope of the show. Basically, once a flying man wearing blue tights and a red cape shows up in Metropolis, SV is over.Showtime029 said:Although I do like the how Durance portrays Lois is Smallville, was kind of miffed that they introduced her into Smallville. Its hard enough to swallow that Lois and other people can't decipher Clark and Superman because of glasses, now she sees him everyday without? She might know he is Superman by now in Smallville, I am not up to date on all storyline arcs.
In all honesty, a show or film about Lois Lane sans Clark Kent/Superman would bore me to tears, regardless of the actress chosen for the role. The most entertaining thing for me about Lois Lane is watching her turn into a puddle of mush when Superman shows up; I could care less about how many Pulitzers she's won.RakuMon said:I originally posted this in the Smallville forum. I think spinning-off a Lois Lane series from Smallville makes more sense than a full-fledged motion picture. The series could explore her life as she climbs the ladder at the DP on her way to becoming Ace Reporter Lois Lane.
AgentPat said:That said, the show has already planted the seeds for a more "realistic" take on the mythos. Back in the fourth season, Lois told Chloe, "If I really cared about that person, I wouldn't tell them that I knew. But I would go out of my way to be supportive of them so that hopefully, one day, they would be comfortable enough to tell me themselves. I've learned the hard way that people keep secrets for a reason, even from the people they're closest to."
