Mystery/Thriller LOST - But Not Forgotten...Except by the Emmys - Part 1

Are you insulting Expose?! :argh:

I'm not only insulting it, I'm defecating on it.

Expose sucks ass, Sawyer.:woot:

And I agree about shorter seasons being better.

Nikki and Paulo were terrible. Expose was amazing. :o

I will give them props for adding Nikki and Paulo in scenes from seasons 1 and 2 as if they were there the whole time.

I give them props for burying them alive.

No. Not at all. Only people who meant something to the characters were there Sawyer didnt even know their names.

Lindelof even mentioned in the Pollack interview how they were running out of story by season 3, as it was originally intended to be only three seasons. That's why you saw some of those filler episodes.

I've never even seen the Jack tattoo episode. And I don't give a ****.

So you don't want to see Jack ****ing Bai Ling? Your loss. :o

:oldrazz:

That was Bai Ling? Lol... I was wondering who the heck that woman was...

That episode introduced me to the wonderful world of Bai Ling

I remember being pissed off at episode before it aired. Since season 3 had that four month break they released special previews every week of the second half of the season and one of them was a 30 second clip of Jack and Bai Ling. I was so pissed because the one before that was one of Locke and Hurley talking about superpowers so my expectations went up.

The first half of season three was hit or miss. The second half was almost 100% hit.

I think the 15-16 episode count in seasons 4-6 is much better than 25 episodes of season 1-3. It makes the story tighter and we don't have frivolous episodes like Jack's tattoos (which I liked by the way) or Nikki and Paulo's backstory.

I disagree. The first 3 seasons had a solid formula. The latter half, despite being shorter, just invented new distractions to draw the show out and spend as much time stalling as it did before.

On-island activities advancing the plot and flash backs explaining character motives = Win.

Season 4 was an entire season devoted to catching up to the Season 3 finale in the most convoluted way possible. Season 5 got lost in time. Season 6 dumped the Flash-sideways in, and while it was nice seeing the characters paid off, it's ridiculous that the writers had to create an afterlife in order to do it.

Season 3 was drawn out and stretched because they didn't know where the story was going since there wasn't an end date at the time. Seasons 4-6 were planned out. Do you really think the writers wanted to stick Kate and Sawyer in cages for the first half of season 3? They honestly didn't know what to do with the characters at the time.

The two halves of the series aren't necessarily better or worse than the other, they're just different. The slower, character-driven pace of the earlier seasons paved the way for the more action-oriented stuff later on. It was better to have these characters fully fleshed-out before the end game of the show was to be applied to them.

This. Once they came back from the hiatus, that's when LOST starting ****ting on everything else. It already was, but I mean, it went hard. Richard, Room 23, Juliet, Desmond's Jesus mode, etc.

Season Three's finale is still the my favorite season ender too, IMO.

I agree that the Prison Break portion of season 3 was redundant... but then again most of the earlier halves of all the seasons are just fillers...

The writers of Lost are the only people I've everencountered who decided to stall because they were uncertain of their future. No idea how that makes sense. Most writers would try to give as much as they could in a season, but Darlton would apparently rather give the fans nothing than risk giving them everything.

So I've gotten into that show Franklin & Bash on TNT and who do I see on episode 3 if not the Marvin Candle!? Love to see the Losties all over tv still. Also, Sawyer is in the new Mission Impossible right? Trailer looked amazing.
