Lost Users: Gone But Not Forgotten

It's been over five years, man. People have gotten older and stuff has changed in their life. I know from experience. I was an active member in 2002 and 2003, but in `04, `05 and most of `06 I graduated from college and got a job. When I visited the Hype I only had time to discuss the upcoming superhero movies. In the past year there has been some changes in my life that has allowed me to become an active member again but people like Hollow Wood Director, LucidParody, etc have grown up and have better things to do.

The Hype is a place for HS and college kids. Once people like FarmerFran get out of school and start a career they'll stop visiting and a new generation of Hypsters will take over the site. And the only dinosaurs will continue to be Matt and Dew K. Mosi with Kevin Roegle in the non-community forums. lol.

Believe you me, I know that. People grow up, and they don't have the time anymore, and that's fine.

It's just wonderful to feel nostalgic once in every a long while.

We were talking about Gamma Mike the other day and when the lounge was actually interesting...then they started talking about what they were going to have for lunch/how much their back hurt/how each other was doing/etc...

I'm glad I never intend to grow up, and while I may "have better things to do" I also need my down time to just relax and enjoy myself. While I'm not in High School or College anymore I still like the Hype (though I do find I limit myself mostly to the Community forum).
