my router bricked, so i bought a new one today and i'm able to browse via ethernet with no problems it seems, but, i dont think the wifi is working still. could that be a modem issue?
when i try to use routerlogin.net it says "You are not connected to your Router’s WiFi network"

Yes - That makes sense. Try turning off the modem and router and then turning them back on again - modem first, then router. Some Routers are made so that you have to turn on the WiFi to secure it through a browser.

The phone company we're subscribed to gave us a new router with the fibre-optics they installed, none of the connection plugins or lights display any issue.

It's good. Kind of a cultural adjustment; within a week I've gone from being one of the youngest guys in the marketing department of a multinational investment company to being one of the oldest guys in an upstart marketing agency. People seem to like me here, and I've been doing good work. I've also been kicking ass in my comedy writing courses at Second City Toronto as well, which has been a valuable distraction on the side.

Strangely I was discussing this with him earlier today. No chance for a reinstatement I suppose? DJ's been a contributor to this community for a while now. He certainly is invested in it. No way to finagle this in some way?
