Forgive a vet having strong opinions about the honor and integrity of US politics and it's system of government since it's them that get sent in harms way to protect it.

Also, people have been worse than DJ over the years here and been allowed back most recently one that:

Was banned for his ********.

Came back under another account to harass regulars in this very thread.

Was reinstated despite that.

Oh, and for my own opinion still posts but is doing so under yet another account.

As for DJ himself... Maybe he was just allergic to ********? That is my guess.

Like I said....he got banned over an argument that most decidedly was not worth it, and IMO the community is a little less for his absence, but he accumulated ten infractions which is an automatic perma ban.

I’ll miss him, but there’s not really anything to be done.

DJ is good people. I will most certainly miss him. That he went out arguing with people who just spend their time in the political forum just BS'ing to get the rise out of people is more upsetting. They aren't there for legit discourse. Unlike DJ.

In regards to DJ, he accumulated 10 infractions over his tenure. That is an auto-ban. I have been on here almost 15 years. I didn't become a mod until 2011. I have never had an infraction 1 time. I find it insanely hard to reach 10 infractions. So I don't have as much sympathy in this case. I had no problems with DJ or anything, but to accumulate 10 infractions, that just tells me you don't learn to control yourself.
