Accumulation of infractions. Blew his tenth on an argument that wasn't worth it.

Wow. DJ has bit the dust. That is a real shame, he was an interesting member.

I guess he got some final warnings but just wouldn't take heed and the tenth infraction ban hammer came down like a f**cking anvil...

Or something like that.

Silly question... Could DJ not have been given a probationary ban instead? Maybe that would have done the trick...

I was about to say I don't have any, but then I checked and now I am not sure... It might have just been a warning. Then again, who knows for sure?

Usually a probation ban carries an infraction along with it, but in general DJ had many chances to change his habits. He never did. Really him getting the 10th infraction is not on who issued it, it is ultimately on him for accumulating that many. At any point, DJ could have learned to step away from the keyboard, use less harsh language, etc. He never did any of that. The easiest way to avoid being in a situation like DJ was is to not allow yourself to be in that position. Hurling insults and such doesn't make you sound smarter in a debate. Facts and well thought out arguments do. Some people just don't learn that.

There are people here I just avoid interaction with because it'll get me hot under the collar. Unfortunately Kidd couldn't do the same. And yes he was given many warnings and chances.

In regards to DJ, he accumulated 10 infractions over his tenure. That is an auto-ban. I have been on here almost 15 years. I didn't become a mod until 2011. I have never had an infraction 1 time. I find it insanely hard to reach 10 infractions. So I don't have as much sympathy in this case. I had no problems with DJ or anything, but to accumulate 10 infractions, that just tells me you don't learn to control yourself.
