1. you said that one was on the house.

2. how do you know what Roose wears to bed?

3. dont you dare lie to me... what happened with you two in that cave?

1. I have no recollection of that conversation.

2. The same way I know you know all the lyrics to the Barbie Song.

3. Some experiences can’t be explained....they have to be felt for yourself. And I wouldn’t sully something that special, that....magical, by attempting to put it into inadequate words.

I'm not sure I like your attitude. And I certainly don't like you keeping secrets.

In my line of work, secrets are the currency.

I went to Wendy's yesterday and they had a sign on the door saying they can no longer accept hundred dollar bills due to counterfeiting. Who the **** is going to Wendy's spending hundreds?

I can't even remember the last time I had Wendy's. :p

I have a bit of a job query. Didn't know where to post, so decided to share it here in the Lounge, among fellow Hypesters.

Been working in the Finance Sector for a year, have a First Class degree before that (from here in the UK as well).

Couple of weeks ago I handed in my notice (written, to HR) as I was feeling quite stressed at work. Now I have 2 weeks left and I think I shouldn't have done it (as I managed to sort the things I was stressing about).

Spoke to my manager and they said there is a chance I can go back to work for them, but I have to let them know asap.

Not sure what to do now. I have managed to save some money in case I am in between jobs , but I was also very good at the job and currently not a lot of opportunities pop out there. At the same time, I was... frustrated with a lot of things and issues at work.

What do you think about this and what would you recommend? Should I retract my notice and go back or stick to my decision?

Thank you for listening!

No one is going there spending hundreds....they go there and get $5 worth of food and pay with a counterfeit hundred for the change.

Wendy might be a good lady...it's true... but don't forget... she is a ginger.

Gingers can't be trusted.

How am I supposed to replenish my life force by consuming the essence of someone without a soul? That's like eating a bag with no Doritos in it.

at the very least its like a bag of those 3D doritos .... which doesn't even make sense... aren't they already 3d without being whatever it is that they are or were....

Its usually people that have just cashed their paychecks.

Hmm, that's a tough choice. I also work in the financials sector, and I also was in an intolerably toxic work environment two years ago. To be honest, the concept of quitting outright was a non-option for me; in Canada, you don't get unemployment benefits if you just quit your job, and in the job market here a hole in your resume is a strategic concern moreso than if you had a clear reason for leaving your last job (i.e., downsizing). You may consider returning to your old job, but only until you get another one.

Seems to me like you gave two solid reasons why you should take back your resignation. Stay with your job.

If you don’t find your job intolerable then I would go back to it until I’d found something else, personally. Job security can be hard to come by these days. I never leave a job ‘til I have another one lined up. Not having a guaranteed flow of income is one of the biggest causes of stress I have encountered, and is worth avoiding if at all possible, imo.

i dont normally go to the misc. films forums... but when i do... it's always hilarious.

Thanks for the replies, everyone!

Another option is that you can return to your old job on a 12-18 month contract. Maybe with a slightly different title to make it look better on your resume. It gives you the flexibility to bail if things at your job are still garbage.
