Last I heard Roach said he was taking time off from the boards.

Isn't he like an amateur film maker? I'd imagine he'd be busy.

So... What's happening with roach? I haven't seen him on these boards for a while.

Has he left SHH?
Last thing I remember he said is something about extremely irrational posts made him sick of how some fans react to different opinions, or something like that.

Btw Wolfie, what did you think of Squad?

Didn't like it. Messy narrative, weak plot and too watered down for a film about villains. Two out of three so far when it comes to DCEU to me.

Can't say I disagree.

Lol some fool elsewhere trying to explain Constantine to me. I've probably read about 200 of the 300 Hellblazer comics from the runs of Delano, Ennis, Carrrey and Azzarello. That idiot had a New 52 Constantine avy. :funny:

Ok, someone please tell me where to start with Constantine and JLD.

It needs to be a series that has an end tho, I dont want to be left hanging. New52 and now Rebirth, it just hurts my head. I'm not real into comics. lol

I was reading the wiki for Hellblazer and read that particular Constantine was not the same as the one in JLD or some isssh like that. Constantine is a very beloved character.., I want to love him too, but the bastah seems to have so many stuff. Lawd.

Bats is in JLD's first arc. You want Constantine read Alan Moore's or Garth Ennis' runs.

I own the first two volumes of Jamie Delano Hellblazer, Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, and Grant Morrison's Seven Soldiers of Victory. And that is my comic knowledge of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, and Zatanna.

Yeah the New 52 and Rebirth Constantine books are watered down versions of the Vertigo 'Hellblazer' version.

As for what to read from Hellblazer I suggest you pick up these trade issues:

Original Sins
The Fear Machine
Dangerous Habits (Highly recommended this one)
The Family Man

What about Constantine:Hellblazer?

I will order the first two volumes of Hellblazer.

Thank ya.

Not read the REBIRTH stuff man. The New 52 book was not to my liking when it comes to Constantine.

Well Vertigo stuff are for mature (adult) readers. Obviously stuff published with DC's logo will be watered down...

Lawd!

I read that Alan Moore and some of the other writes have actually run into Constantine in real life. I want what they smokin, mayne.

Yep. Alan Moore actually claims that he met Constantine twice.
One day, I was in Westminster in London—this was after we had introduced the character—and I was sitting in a sandwich bar. All of a sudden, up the stairs came John Constantine. He was wearing the trenchcoat, a short cut—he looked—no, he didn't even look exactly like Sting. He looked exactly like John Constantine. He looked at me, stared me straight in the eyes, smiled, nodded almost conspiratorially, and then just walked off around the corner to the other part of the snack bar.
I sat there and thought, should I go around that corner and see if he is really there, or should I just eat my sandwich and leave? I opted for the latter; I thought it was the safest. I'm not making any claims to anything. I'm just saying that it happened. Strange little story.
Years later, in another place, he steps out of the dark and speaks to me. He whispers: " I'll tell you the ultimate secret of magic. Any **** could do it.

I want what he is smoking. lol

Also, looked up a few bits of Constantine on Arrow. Sweet lord that was bad.

Star Trek Beyond was boring as ****. Worst out of the new three in my opinion.

I think Into Darkness is underrated. I found it to be really good. Good craftsmanship. There were in times in Beyond when I'm like, "Who the f*** lit this scene? Everything looks so dull. I can't see s*** inside the destroyed Enterprise and why are we in a Teletubbies set now? Idgaf about this villain... Ok I get it but come on."

As much as y'all wanna throw hate on Benedict, he was my favorite out of the 3.

I'm gonna go smoke some funk and listen to Grant Morrison tell Kevin Smith about his ''mystical'' experience. He apparently put some of that stuff in his Superman book.

Morrison pretty much has his craziness in all his comics work.

Incidentally, if All-Star Suoerman, or some reasonable fascimile were to ever reach the big screen, I believe it would put an end to the "Superman is boring because he's too powerful" and "too perfect" crowd.

Truefacts: the crazy wizards write the best comics.

You can't prove that he wasn't abducted by aliens made of light while in Kathmandu.:o

Gee I'm fully aware of that but the New 52 book was really, really watered down.

Film criticism died with Roger Ebert.

Well, if you're in the character and some ballsy Vertigo stuff at its best, then "Hellblazer" all the way. Read at least Delano's run (which also includes guest writers such are Grant Morrison and Neil Gaiman for couple of issues and sole issue, respectively), but if you could make it to read first 80 or so issues which would include Ennis' run (Keanu Reeves film was greatly inspired by his "Dangerous Habits" storyline) that would cover all you need to know.

If you're interested solely in JLD version (which you shouldn't be :oldrazz:), then I can't be of help, as I never read JLD, nor cared for Constantine in the DC universe.

Ah, I see. Hopefully Wonder Woman unites us all.

From your lips to Todd's ears.
