Warner Bros. TV and Plan B have teamed with writer Jason Richman to develop a drama series for Amazon inspired by Martin Scorsese’s 2006 Oscar-winner “The Departed.”

I mean, it is one thing when it comes to this case or cases of "Seven Samurai" and "Magnificent Seven", "Yojimbo" and "Fistfull of Dollars" or even "Lady Snowblood" and "Kill Bill", where it is a remake that still gives it its own flair, bordering between remake and a homage, but this new practice of perpetual remakes of classics (like that of "Ben-Hur"), prequels and sequels of well-received films that were originally envisioned as standalone stories and using such works to create TV series is really starting to annoy me.

Well, Quentin practically took that movie and made Kill Bill. Lucy Liu character specifically is model after Lady Snowblood.
