So I tried to log in my email and I got the "Call us overprotective..." garbage from Microsoft. I enter a different email to receive a link so I can change the security info. Got the email with the link. Clicked on it and now I have to enter the original email that I was trying to get in in the first place... it said "Try entering your Microsoft account again. We don't recognize this one.". **** you, Microsoft/Hotmail. This is the second time you've done this.

That's very true. The Witch, The Conjuring 2 and The Neon Demon are all in my top 5 of the year so far and I heard good things about Don't Breathe and Lights Out. And of course new Blair Witch is upon us

This new found thing of complaining they show too much doesn't wash with me. They have to attract all different kinds of audiences not the people who will go to see it anyway.

There is such a thing as "showing too much" during a marketing campaign. Some things are best saved to be experienced for the first time on the big screen.

For example, I dont want to see Superman's return for the first time on my flat screen during a tv spot.

If the marketing team had kept Doomsday's revelation for theaters there wouldn't be articles about Superman's possible demise months in advance.

If it had been a complete secret WOM would have been like a wild fire. Good or bad people would've run to the movie theater to see for themselves if Superman died.

My cousin and my aunt, who are nearer to their 40's than they would care to admit, don't know **** about comic books, but they watched BvS because they couldn't believe that Superman had died.

There would have been a lot more of that if it were a surprise and fanboy media outlets didn't jump on it as soon as the second trailer dropped.

The stuff you're talking about really only affected the hard core fans who saw the movie anyway. Casual moviegoers don't know what Doomsday represents and they don't spend their time reading articles about it either.
