You see, experience, and say some of the weirdest ****

:sly:

I take this as a compliment. :cwink:

Bruh, days ago I had Jenna Haze on my lap and now i'm reading about grown man complain about a Scorsese involved joker movie. First world problems.

So in other DC, but not DCEU-related news, we have us a Starfire.

Titans‘ latest casting is (Star)fire.
24: Legacy‘s Anna Diop will play alien princess Starfire in the upcoming DC Comics adaptation, TVLine has learned.

Feels like it was just yesterday The Flash had a director and everything. He even took that 'It's getting official' picture at Comic Con!

Funny how all that's left of this crew are Wan and Patty for sure. Lol.
Ayer too left the DCEU?

I keep forgetting this show is gonna be on a DC-exclusive subscription service, and then I get mad all over again that those are becoming a thing.

Now we just need to get Danai Gurira away from The Walking Dead long enough to cast her as Blackfire. She's 10 years Diop's senior if they want to play up the slight age difference.

Sorry what's this?

DC, Disney and various networks are starting their own subscription streaming services and making content that will be exclusive to them. It's like they don't grasp that the appeal of Netflix, Amazon, etc. is having the content from MULTIPLE providers in one place, and that no singular brand or network has enough content worth paying those same prices for on their own. I hope they all fall on their faces.

They are all moving towards content produced in house. I wouldn't be shocked when the Netflix deal expires all the CW show leave for the DC streaming service.

Agreed...if the DC streaming service survives that long (it was a 5 year deal). Which I kinda hope it doesn't. Like I said, I'm crossing my fingers for all these ventures to fall on their faces. It would be better for consumers, imo, and on the CW/DC side, their deal from Netflix was already pretty sweet (over $1B).

Oh I heard about Disney doing it. How can DC do it though? Surely not enough content? I wouldn't even subscribe to a service which had 1/3 of all content from everyone. Yeah, hope they all fail.

Not enough? Well, I assume there'd be nothing stopping them from putting all of their animated series and films on there in addition to live-action stuff. I'm guessing, anyway.

The new line, or possibly label, will allow for the making of movies that will stand apart and separate from those big-budget tentpoles. Matt Reeves’ The Batman, for example, is intended to not be connected to the Justice League universe but to be set in a different time period and star another actor.

Gasp

I thought the Harley v Joker thing was nixed and a false story? That's confirmed to be happening now?

These people are just clueless now. Who's giving the go ahead to this crap?

This is getting Batsh$%it crazy...pun intended, lol.

In the space of 5 hours, JLD went from one of the first in development projects along with Batgirl (according to THR) to back to square one, and the rumored Harley/Joker movie from SR became GCS.

ANNNd one of the Aussie reports that said Margot's keen to start a family next year therefore would like to shoot SS2 and GCS back to back next year, I called them inaccurate because Margot's already pregnant, but BN posted her pics and she's not...it's all coming together now.

JLD halted, Ayer's done, GCS's now HQ/JK, SS2 is still looking for a director.
