WB is throwing all these s*** to trades to overshadow Joss Whedon's news.

Whedon "news" was dead before any of this Joker stuff came out. Only thing that will chang that is if new damning info comes out.

Eh, I wanted more stand alone contained films. Maybe a cameo every now and then. If some of these films are good then who cares? lol

And if Batfleck only appears in another JL movie or other bat universe films, it works for me, while having another Batman stand alone directed by Reeves. All this still seems like many years away tho. It is frustrating to see Geoff Johns not have the balls or power to clear all of this tho. Meh.

Not enough? Well, I assume there'd be nothing stopping them from putting all of their animated series and films on there in addition to live-action stuff. I'm guessing, anyway.

The point of streaming disappears for me when you have to subscribe to so many providers that you may as well put that money to buying stuff outright. No one studio has enough content to justify subscribing for me unless the price would be peanuts.

Hulu used to have the best business model - you only really subscribed so you can watch ad-free. Crunchyroll still does that + the added caveat of ep released that week are exclusive to subscribers.

It will be hard to imagine this DC streaming suff goes that route, but if this is for the long haul they gotta make it viable for that niche.

DC comics is something I'd subscribe to because they have a huge back catalogue there. But they have a handful of films and animated shows, most of which I (and I'd guess many fans who are the target market) already own. I don't really understand how this can work unless they give access to their comics back catalogue with it.

At this point, I'm just going to sit back and wait to see how things develop over the next few months. It seems clear that WB/DC won't talk about things publicly until at least JL is out, so I'm not going to waste time connecting all the dots and trying to figure out what it all means. I'm focused on JL and the other fall movies for now.

I want standalone films too, but I'd like to be set within the DCEU. Maybe they're doing all this to build towards a "Crisis on Infinite Earth" film.
