So I have a friend stuck in her dorm on the Virginia Tech campus, there was another shooting there.
I agree with my friend when she said, and I quote, "I say you start screening them BEFORE they're admitted." Call me heartless, but I really don't care about shootings like this.

And of course, everyone on that Batboard thread totally missed the freaking point....:o

Now I don't feel bad for stirring the pot. :o
Ah, it'll be ok Celtic. We'll start again with another thread, one that wills tir the pot just as hard.

Some of them, yeah. Being a broke student and all, I have to prioritize food before I begin to think about purchasing blu rays. The last ones I got were First Class and Let Me In on Black Friday.

i got over $100 in blus free on Friday

thank you Swagbucks for the gift cards

as someone with friends and family there, as well as a Virginian, im not really a fan of this post at all.

these things could happen at any school, any where. apathy is not a good color on you ST, so i will call you heartless, since you told me to.

So since it was just 2 people killed it's ok to not care about it? Wow, thats some bad karma coming your way. :oldrazz::cwink:

Pretty much my life.

I express my honest opinion there, sure, but I know that my opinion will stir them up a bit. But that's not because I troll them, I just know I'm expressing an opinion they don't like.

I'm a Washingtonian and I support this Post.

See, that's the difference between stirring the pot, and trolling. Stirring gets a discussion going. Trolling just makes people angry.

But there's still an extremely fine line between them. You have to play it right.

Is it trolling if I tell someone they're being nominated for this award?

And second, would have been a smart question to ask BEFORE I did it?

Just figured I'd requote this from the Dick of the Year thread. To show off my smarminess at my cleverness.

Due to my growing cynical nature (personal reasons, mind you), I don't care because 1. Didn't happen to me. 2. Didn't happen to any of my friends or family. And 3. Why should I? Because it happened at a school? Because the shooter might have mental issues? (That's just a rumor circulating around from what I've heard. I don't put much stock in it.) People are getting shot everyday and dying everyday. Just because it's featured on the news or it happened a public place like this doesn't make anymore important. And they'll probably blame it on what he did in his life or stuff like that. Again, this is my growing cynicism. CC, you can call me heartless (mostly cause I said you can, so you had the permission before hand) because that's what I am and I'm fine with that for personal reasons. And SIAT, karma can't make my life any worse. It can kindly kiss the whitest part of my already pasty-white ass.

I think the best way to show you don't care...is to not care about it. :dunno

I mean, I'm not all that interested in things that really don't concern me, or my intrests...but still.

If you don't care why are you so defensive. :oldrazz:

Not being defensive, I'm explaining right there so I don't have to answer it 10 times.

That was so TOTALLY being defensive. If you didn't care why did you have to provide an explanation? Someone who is truly heartless would have just let it be. :oldrazz:

I've always found that if you don't want to spend time explaining your comment....don't make the comment in the first place.

Honestly, I'm not losing any sleep over this, but I do have to wonder what the hell's going on over there. Sure, CC's right, this can happen anywhere (even though it's really limited to a suburban area), but twice at the same school? That's more than coincidence.

Just got back from my class performance. Everyone did great and it was an awesome experience. My only regret is that I didn't get to perfrom my other scene and that I didn't get a recording of it, since my mom apparently doesn't know how to use a camera.

What was your scene going to be?
It was a comedic scene called "On the Edge", where I play a guy who is going to jump off a ledge but can't because some random annoying girl keeps pestering to find out why he wants to do it. Basically it's because of a girl and I loved it because I could totally relate to the character's need to make a dramatic statement. The monologue I performed was called "Bucket of Moon" and it was basically about a NYC firefighter thinking about the Trade Towers and how he was helping with the relief effort days after the attacks. That one was more dramatic.

the fact that you are this cynical at this young of an age kinda worries me ST. maybe i'm noticing this more as I just buried a friend today who was the exact opposite and am a little more receptive to it now.

why does it only have to matter if it affects you or your friends? tragedies are tragedies, regardless who is involved. people get shot every day, yes. people die every day. yes but does that mean we stop caring about others? that's one of the main things wrong with people these days, no human compassion and more apathy than anything.

and karma sucks yeah. but you can let it control you or not.

try being homeless, going through times where you don't have electricity, water or a cent to your name, burying 10+ friends, family etc from suicide, and a ton of other things i wont dare mention here.

you and i have also endured some of the same demons, internal/externally, physically, mentally etc. if i can still feel something, then there's hope for you.

also i have no clue what "SIAT" stands for

I'm 19. That's not that young. Please never say that again.

I'm not going to care for a complete stranger anymore, I've done that and It only added on to my grief and stress. Karma has nothing to with why my life is how it is or anything, mostly cause I don't believe in it. I have gone through times without water or electricity. And no, we're nothing alike, and I say that only because you know nothing about me. I highly doubt we're alike physically or mentally, or if we've gone through the same thing. Truth is I'm just a very hateful, uncaring person and that's not subject to change anytime soon.

Good night.
