Yeah, I'm really hoping she turns into one, but it looks like it might not hapen.

To me it's the thing I associate with her the most. When I was younger I thought it was one of the coolest things I ever saw and couldn't understand why she just didn't eat that stupid prince.

Well, in the original Disney one, Maleficent turned into a dragon to fight Prince Phillip, maybe she sent the raven to dragon up to go against the rest of the castle.

Had no interest in this on paper, and I'm not always a big fan of Jolie. But this latest trailer definitely catches my attention, and Jolie looks like she is totally nailing it.

This doesn't look very good, not a fan of Maleficent suddenly being a misunderstood anti-hero, and seems like it's following the cliched structure that's being used for modern Fairy Tale movies like Oz and Alice where everything has to end with an army vs army a la Lord of the Rings.

But that is what most modern fairy tales consist of. Narnia is about a warring kingdom. Lord of the Rings is about a warring kingdom. Even Harry Potter is about warring factions in the wizard world. It is a rather common trope of fantasy.

Maleficent is a great villain, so I'm not too keen on her being "misunderstood". Showing her fall from grace would be fine, but I don't want the good guys being made out to be the bad guys and bad guys into good guys.
