Those cheek prosthetics are so darn well done. I love how pronounced they look in the first pic and then in the third they are so subtle, other than the contour of the make up you can barely see them. Same guy that did the engineer from Prometheus so its not too surprising. It definitely gives Jolie an otherwordly look while balancing those horns.

They've also changed the name of Maleficent's raven from Diablo to Diaval. I like that name better, though.

LOL, exactly. With "Diablo", it just seemed like the writers just wanted an evil name. I think the setting is part of the reason why I don't like it either. If it was set in Mexico or something, the name would fit to me. I'm not saying that Sleeping Beauty should be set in Mexico, though.

yeah.....it's kind of how the names Luke and "Ben" Kenobi don't really fit in the SW "culture." lol

and I hope that like Maleficent, Diaval won't be portrayed as totally evil, either. and I hope he has magic powers of his own, besides the obvious transformation powers.

oh, and Elsa should have had a raven sidekick, too.

plus, it would be a way to tie it back to the original Snow Queen story. there were a few ravens/crows in that story who helped out Gerda, I believe.

and I think in one of the tv adaptations, the raven was voiced by Patrick Stewart!

it also says Diablo is Maleficent's only competent henchman. ouch!!

it also says Diablo was never actually named in the film itself. so it seems like that was a name they just added on later or something. perhaps that's also why it seems so out of place, name-wise.
