You aren't going to get a lot of hate but I find your comment about DDL to be ludicrous. And I'm not even a blind DDL fan but I can appreciate the man's tremendous talent. I don't think DDL wants to do a straight comedy but I have no doubt that he would do a good job. I actually would be interested in him doing a comedy though.

As for U.N.C.L.E, I do hate when they turn old series into straight comedies even when they weren't that. I want lots of humor sure but I'm not interested in a straight comedy.

His role in "9" was kinda comedic. But yeah, he hasn't done a straight comedy.

i think Hammer and Cavill will be good together. Hammer will be more goofy and Cavill serious.

I've only seen season 1 of the original series and Kuriakin is as far removed from being goofy as possible. If they goofy-fie Hammer's interpretation of the character I won't be watching it at all.

Man from U.N.C.L.E as a comedy ? I got a bad Green Hornet feeling about it.

Sorry, has there been any confirmation that the film is going to be comedic? Or are we just assuming that because Guy Ritchie is the director?

Actually, a more light-hearted adventure might be better, since that's more Ritchie's strong suit. The only completely serious movie I've seen him do was Revolver, and that was a pretentious piece of sh** if I've ever seen one.

Anyway, about the possible name changes that were mentioned. Anyone think that at least "Napoleon Solo" might ultimately be used as a code name? I mean, it sounds more like a code name than a real name.

Either way they should not change their names. Napolorn Solo is a very cool name.

ok it was maybe a mistake to use the word comedy.

i think we mean a fun adventure action spy movie.

Last I read, they were going to play it pretty straight, like an adventure films with some jokes/funny moments but definitely not Sherlock Holmes films which most certainly are comedies.

I don't know, I think it's kind of a silly name. It makes him sound like he's Han Solo's vertically challenged brother.

Ummmm.....Napolean Solo is actually a pretty badass name. After all, Ian Fleming did come up with it.

It's a purely tongue in cheek name. I prefer it over a name like "Jack Harper".

And like someone here said, Ian Fleming came up with that name.

Fleming really did know how to come up with cool names.

How much influence do you guys think having Henry will have on the marketing?

Eh, he bores me. I just have higher respect for actors that can do about anything. You know how people are getting bored with Johnny Depp and his crazy schtick, I feel the same way about DDL and his serious schtick.

As for U.N.C.L.E, I honestly have no idea what to expect, as I never have watched the TV show. All I know is Ducky from NCIS was on it, but that's because my mom told me.

He's not a big star so I don't think WB is going to be stupid enough to push him hard. If he is the lead, lead I do think that he is going to billed as such and since he starred in two movies that hit number one at the box office (Immortals and Man of Steel) I definitely think that he will be pimped more than Hammer whose claim to fame is still supporting actor in The Social Network.

I think Warners seems to like Cavill so of course he will get play but "from the director of Sherlock Holmes" will get more play than anything else. If we were talking about Tom Cruise things would be different of course.

I didn't know these guys were considered.

George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Alexander Skarsgård, Tom Cruise, Ewan McGregor, Robert Pattinson, Christian Bale, Matt Damon, Michael Fassbender, Bradley Cooper, Leonardo DiCaprio, Russell Crowe, Chris Pine, Ryan Reynolds and Jon Hamm

I just listened to the theme music, not bad, but it might need a little modernization like Mission Impossible.

Which version did you listen to? There are 4 different versions for 4 different seasons.

OK. Am I the only one who thinks this movie lacks "star power" or a marquee movie star?? Henry Cavill was great in Man Of Steel, but he's still a minor movie star at this point in his career, same can be said of Armie Hammer too. That being said this movie has potential & will probably go see it when it comes out.

Yeah, I think it might flop or have trouble at the box office.
