My quote in your sig still sums up exactly how I feel about it.

If the damn families really cared about Superman, they'd be doing everything they could to make things go smoothly, but they're just greedy bastards.

Yes, your quote could refer to the S&S families. I never thought of that!

on the other hand its not their fault that WB in the last 20 years made only one superman movie.

But it is at least partially their fault we're not getting one now.

its not their fault that WB didnt do a sequel to SR from 2006 to 2008.

Yes, but now they're one of the obstacles standing in the way of a reboot. :cmad:

I did this a few months back, its nothing special its just really a color alteration with a better looking headshot of Routh for the 1st promo picture from Superman Returns.

& heres the HQ version for those that want to see the imperfections of the color alterations :O

This is actually what I thought the suit might have looked like on camera in SR dispite the way this picture originally was. I'd seen half a dozen promo pictures leading up to the film's release & the colors looked far... warmer.

That's pretty Awesome good job.:woot:

A couple of things:

1) That's a very nicely done piece of work B. I hope you don't mind if I save a copy for myself.

2) It's Brandon Routh's birthday today. Happy birthday Brandon Routh!

That's absolutely awesome work B! I love it!

looking back at that first phote they probably should have done a whole different pose cause the arms at waist was very bad shot for routh's body and the suit. Still that very first shot of SR suit was so terrible.

It really doesn't take much to make the costume look so much better, does it?

Flawless job on the manip, by the way.

Thx Double D. At it's core I feel that the SR suit was quite well made. The only thing's holding it back were the pleather cape, the small metal 'S' shield on chest & the muted colors. Even the neckline wouldn't have bothered ppl if the rest had been corrected, same I feel with the 'S' shield shaped belt buckle. That's just my two cents.

People also complained about the lack of the S Shield on the cape itself. Not a major sticking point for me personally, but it did bother a lot of the fans.

It didn't bother me though. Many times Supes doesn't have it on his cape. Heck, Alex Ross doesn't draw it few times whenever he draw Supes. Even the 90s animated series was missing the "S" cape..

The past few days I've been thinking... I still like Brandon, just not so much for Superman anymore. I think he'd be perfect for a live action Goku... if they ever get around to doing a live action DBZ movie like it should be done, Goku's right here.

Will Brandon Routh get his chance to wear the ruby roos again and play Superman again? Doesn't sound like it, and I think Warner Bros are madder than Cujo's mama for allowing the ideal Reeve proxy to slip through their fingers.

Speaking this morning to a producer friend at the Burbank branch, it sounds improbable that uncle Alan will be seeking out the services of the former Lucky Strike employee to bring Kal-El to life again (Routh's option has expired). Pity, Routh was fantastic in the role. Looked the part, performed the part, was enthusiastic ‘about' the part (can you say that about Kilmer, Norton or a few of the other actors that have played superheroes in the past?).

And the WB isn't shying away from Routh because they don't like him - in fact, "they love him" - but because "they want the next Superman movie to be its own beast. Unlike Superman Returns, it's not going to be a homage to the Dick Donner movies. They're thinking bigger - bigger names, bigger movie". I can understand that.... but the last time Warner Bros thought ‘bigger' when it came to the character we nearly ended up with Nicolas Cage (and his horrible hair-plugs) donning the Super suit. Do we really want a forty-something Man of Steel - - at the expense of potentially getting a few more bums-on-seats next time around? **** no!

G-d I hate Moviehole sometimes. They don't even try to pretend to be slightly objective. It's always, "wah you fools should have embraced the flawless wonder that was Superman Returns, wah."

It's profoundly ludacris to even impy that a Routh is irreplacable.

damn I really liked Routh as Superman...even though I didnt want to see a sequel to SR
