Yet the photo still remains pinned up to his wall. Stacy telling Peter what he knew the motive of the masked vigilante didn't make Peter realize that with great power comes great responsibility. If that were true, then he would have no reason to pursue the killer anymore. Then that means that Captain Stacy made Peter Parker become Spider-Man. What a great origin story.
Really? He would still want to pursue the killer so that he could turn him into the police.
Even after Peter ultimately lets him go, he still holds a grudge against the killer and wants him to be in prison. Think 'Spectacular Spider-Man'.
Also, Pete still realized that he was responsible for Uncle Ben's death. That in itself should teach him that he is responsible for the fate of others. What you're talking about isn't the lesson of responsibility, but the lesson that anything you do won't make up anything for the person that you essentially let die.
