In the end he didn't care for Connors? If that was true, Peter would of killed him.

And don't you realize? Peter's life is destroyed also. What I don't understand, is why do you make it come off that Peter meant to destroy the lives of others?

Peter already learned lessons. He learned the lesson of responsibility.

Responsibility is a pretty broad term though. He has already learned that it is his responsibility to save people, but he is still pretty careless when it comes to his secret identity. Maybe he will learn when someone close to him dies because he is Spider-Man and the villain knows.

Green Lantern doesn't have breadcrumbs to leave. You don't need to tell your entire story in one film of a trilogy, it's why Gwen Stacy is still alive. It's like I'm talking to ******s.

I now know that same feeling from reading your reply :o

1.) Hints of Star Sapphire.

2.) Sinestro taking the yellow ring.

But, no, you're so totally right...Green Lantern had no breadcrumbs for sequels; what the **** was I thinking? :whatever:

Seen the film 5 times and cried each at Ben's death. To emotional, I love this Uncle Ben. He was down to funny, earth, a reasonable man who wanted whats best for his family. Oh and the voice mail made my break down.

Imo, I definitely felt the voice mail at the end more than Ben's actual death. I can't say I was a fan of either death scenes for Uncle Ben, but that voice mail...just, wow. Really a solid ending.

No breadcrumbs, meaning no one gives a damn about Green Lantern, period. Do you see Warner Bros. talking about a sequel--or at least I hope not? WB has yet to prove that Batman/Superman is not all they have for bringing a big classic DC Comics movie to the theaters. TASM already has a release date, huge difference.

I actually wouldn't mind a GL sequel, I'll just redbox it.

..err.. I can't tell if you're trying to be rude or if your just using a weird phrase.

:/

People do give a damn about Green Lantern, period. Hell, I love the John Stewart version; it's just the movie was too bad to a lot of people.

Don't sound so smug you jackass.

Don't hold your breath buddy boy.

There was no reason to say this to Jexx. He only said he wouldn't mind; not that he's waiting for a sequel.

Stay curious.
I lol'd. :hehe:

And Ben's death was a little strange for me. This Uncle Ben made me care a little more than the last, but his death was a little less impactfull to me. But at the same time, Andrew's acting really sold it for me. The voicemail almost got me though. :waa:

Be nice to me, I bought grape flavored ice-tea. :oldrazz:

The movie was awful through and through, with no saving grave. You have to give Green Lantern to someone who knows how to handle Sci-Fi films, not comic book movies. No one cares about the Green Lantern as long as he's presented like a rejected cartoon character--filled with bad acting across the board.

Either way, it ain't happening.

Marc Webb is probably upset that Sony advertised his film poorly by revealing over 25 minutes of footage, including the post-credits scene. Not to mention they cut out a ton of footage and an obvious subplot (I mean, the whole origin not being an accident is right in our faces in the trailers, so there is no denying it), which is not his original vision. I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't return to be honest. I can see he really put his heart into the movie though.

Uh. I deny the genetic tampering origin.

I think he was talking about the idea that Ratha purposely let Peter into the room.

Oh, I believe that. I think that that's a plot that will be encountered in the 2nd film, and that's why they left Ratha alive.

I never saw the Ang Lee Hulk. Also, I actually like the genetic tampering idea, I just don't think that it was ever filmed.

I forget the Ang Lee Hulk premise. I would not like the idea of Peter's Dad experimenting on his child, but if he experimented on himself and then passed on something in his blood to Peter as I've seen speculated on these boards, I can get down with that. It would resolve the question of why wouldn't anyone else get bitten by those spiders in the Oscorp room and not turn into Spider-Men themselves.

I don't want the villains to attack the people closest to you. It'd be much worse if the villain was responsible for more lives being lost than just one.

No, not that door (although, he could of easily done that too), the door to the actual spider-room.

That would have made this EXACTLY Ang Lee's Hulk. Same exact movie. Only thing missing is Absorbing Richard Parker.

I'm pretty sure Peter was supposed to get Ang Lee'd in this film.
Of course. Peter Parker was the first successful cross-species experiment, considering he didn't die and wasn't turned into a giant monster like Connors. DNA tampering could have been the reason why he survived, and his blood would also be the cure for Norman Osborn.
