Thanks! I tried to jam a bunch of little funny details into this one, but when I shrunk it down they obviously become hard to see/read.

FURTHERMORE, I am SO SO GLAD at least one person saw this picture and got the olive garden gift certificate joke and the bat-jazzy joke.

I dig it, KAD!

I am more than a little sad that in the final piece its hard to tell he's being slathered with butter, but that's less of a commentary on your picture and more about my unhealthy relationship with butter.

Great job... his size is sold really well in the face, neck and shoulder area.

And lets face it... there's something about drinks with umbrellas that scream 'lazy', but you took it a step further with the umbrella-straw one-two punch!

As an artist, I keep wanting to make a submission for one of these. This one was looking like a good contest idea till I saw this little gem. Great artwork man. I want this one to win. Great idea, good color and texture. Well done.

i tend to agree with tyler-durden... while i dig the look of it, there isn't much tie-in with the theme that I can figure.

having said that, excel is the arbiter of what is and is not allowed, so you'll have to wait for his opinion on the issue...

and given the lack of a Feb-winner announcement I'm thinking there's gotta be something going on with him... I'm actually kinda concerned. I know he has kids. Hopefully he's just swamped with work or something.

(can anyone tell that Im a seasoned worrier?)
