Got my first selects the other week. Thing and Gobby, may have started an addiction

I had picked up a few Selects here and there over the years, but didn't start seriously collecting them until about a year ago. Since then my collections grown to 65, The great thing about them is they tend to stay pretty close to their original retail, and they re-release the popular one's so nothing is too expensive, accept maybe the Ultimate Venom and a few of the variants. I'll tell you one thing, if you are a MOC collector like me they take up a ton of space. At least half my room is covered with MS's.

The Warpath's are pretty cool, the only thing is that if you get him, you might want to swap out the legs on them, cuz when you see them in person you'll notice that the legs are too short for the body, and the face is a little weird. Just a warning in case you are considering picking him up cuz he's pricey. I dropped $170. total for both the regular and variant sets, and it would probably be even more now. I had to have that X-Men variant Deadpool.. The paint apps on that are incredible, and I no picture you see of it will do it justice.

I actually have that 2-pack, only it's with the black suited Black Widow.. But thanks for the offer. I have a complete Deadpool collection, with every figure they made of him to date (as far as I know) and I just can't brake it up. I'm a huge Deadpool fan, and kinda OCD when it comes to my collections. I also have every known comic appearance of Deadpool. But that wasn't too hard cuz I've been buying all his books all along. Last year I decided I needed to have all his figures MOC and that cost me a pretty penny... But they are kinda the crown jewels of my collection.. Not the most valuable, but the most awesome.

I hear ya man. I had to ask anyway. Hey, I'd swap black widows with ya if you're into that. Just the black widows or winter soldiers too. Either way. I still use the TBML Widow from series 7 or 8 or whatever it was. I'd love to switch her out for the hotter looking 2 pack version in black. They grey one just doesn't work in my setup. Let me know.

I'm a new poster but have recently started collecting Marvel Legends. Just wondering if it has been as hard for you all to find wave three as it has been for me. Was able to pick up an X-Force Deadpool, but been having a hard time finding any others. My comicbook shop has a ton of the Iron Mans from that set, but I'm struggling to find the rest. I'm not sure when the Hit Monkey series is supposed to cme out (I believe end of this month or February) but I've heard people already getting a hold of the new Archangel. Just want to know if people are having as hard of a time as I am.

On a separate note, I'm interested in the 1/6th Scale Hot Toys figures, especially the new ones that are going to release for Iron Man 3. Do you all know of any sites that sell them but don't jack up the price like on ebay.

Another new poster! Welcome to the Hype Captain. You may have to be patient with some of Wave 3, as per above the variants haven't shown up yet. Not sure where you are - I'm in England and Forbidden Planet has Mystique, Iron Man, Punisher, Deadpool and Doom - but if you're struggling to find them locally they're on eBay. Price has come down on a fair few of Waves 1 and 2 after a while if that's a concern.

As for Hit Monkey series they aren't showing up with much regularity yet, I got my Archangel when he popped up on eBay. I can try and find the name of the store if that helps?

I haven't had the same trouble overall, but my hurdle is the Punisher. And there does seem to be an overabundance of Iron Mans.

Best chance is getting them online. Which I try to avoid.

I'm in Florida, and usually see the new MLs months after everybody else, it seems like. All I see now are tons of Iron Men, Hopes, Klaws, Constrictors, Steve Rogers (no clear shield though, dammit) and every now and then a blue Ghost Rider. Never Big Time Spidey. I know if people are seeing wave 3 now, I won't see 'em til March, maybe, if I'm lucky. :-( although, I did find a PileDriver a few weeks ago so that was a bonus.

So yeah, be patient, is what I'm saying. I guess. We've been pretty lucky so far, with a ton of figures on pegs, so Hasbro is doing great with distribution, as far as I'm concerned.

Now I just have to complete the Wrecking Crew, get a black Black Widow, a modern Luke Cage and ill be pretty much set.

only 1 store (a walmart) has gotten any of wave 3 (one case) in the past 3 months... in a 30 mile radius. Though... targets keep restocking wave 1.. i don't think we have to worry just yet personally. I think wave 1 and 2 originally hit way too fast

Ebay. The new wave hit Ebay last week. All the Archangel's appear to be gone, but you can get every other one from the Hit Monkey wave. I just went ahead and got the set of all six. I think you can pre-order the Archangel. FYI, the three new Marvel Universe team sets just became available today. I couldn't resist jumping on them. But I'll probably regret paying what I did ($100) when they have 100's of them everywhere in a few months.. But I guess I just am not that patient.

Your best bet for future success is to go to your local comic shop, and ask the owner to order or save the new Marvel Legends you want as they come out. In my experience most are happy to do that. Otherwise there's always Ebay.. I got all of wave 3 and 4 on Ebay the week they came out. Just gotta keep checking back. As far as Hot Toys go, pre-order at sideshow collectables and get them as basic retail before the aftermarket jacks up the price. They are pretty limited so you gotta jump on them first chance you get.

BTW, I live in CT, and have not seen any wave 3 in retail stores, just comic shops when they first were released. Still wave 1 at a lot of places. Although I was pretty lucky and got most of wave 2 at Walmart when they clearanced them at $7.50 each before the holiday season. I get the feeling the Walmarts over here aren't doing Legends anymore.

Sorry man, I LOVE the black Black Widow from the 2-pack. For my money that's the definitive Black Widow fig. I have the Toy Biz one too, which is a little wierd looking. I heard that is you pop off the head on that one and use the Hope Summers head you'll have a pretty sweet Black Widow... Can't compete with the 2-pack cleavage though. I want to make a custom Black Widow with the MS Black Cat body. That would be hot.

The walmart close to my house and close to my work shelves are empty, except for the walmart by my house has one Drax and one Amazing Spider-man Lizard on the racks. The targets over here only have wave 1 and 2's like Klaw, Constrictor, Hope, and Drax. Comicbook shop has at least 6 of wave 3 Iron Mans so I figure I can wait on that one. I'll try asking them at the comicbook shop to hold some when they come in and I'll keep a look out for more.

Yeah, you can get the 3 Iron Man figures they released so far for as low as $8.00 on Ebay, so if you do get it, don't pay too much. Comic shops haven't gotten the Hit Monkey wave yet, so you may be able to reserve those. Just try to ask soon cuz they should hit the direct market very soon.
