I just want to complete the look of the New Avengers in my display. And 1970's porno Luke Cage doesn't cut it.

He's gotta be the easiest character ever to custom.. Never thought of going that route?

I thought about it, and I look at wrestling figures looking for a Cage lookalike, but no, I never really thought I could pull it off. I would have to buy the paints and tools and whatnot, but I would not want it to look like a custom. At all. It would have to look store bought, and I don't think I have the skills or the patience to pull it off.

It's not that I don't think he's a good character, it's that Bendis has been over-promoting him for 10 years. Acting like Luke "I don't have a costume or a code-name" Cage is the greatest hero ever to join the Avengers, and that the team would fall apart without him got old around 2009. For the record, I made a custom Modern Luke from a TNA wrestling "Brother D-von" figure a few years ago, I just don't have a camera to put up pics. All I really had to do was use nail polish remover to take all the logos off his pants and shirt, sand down the wraps on his forearms a bit, and paint the wraps Gunmetal, then paint the tape around his fingers gold. Total cost of materials (aside from the figure) was probably less than $10

Its highly speculated to come with the wave 4 running changes. Which seems highly likely since wave 1 restocked with wave 2 variants

Man, I can't wait for this wave. That whole wave is a must buy, IMO. I don't know why, but I desperately want that Scarlet Spider... And the Hawkeye, Black Panther, Wrecker, and Bulldozer. The exact minute they're available for pre-order I'm jumping all over it.

I just came across the following pic:

I never heard of there being two versions of Apocalypse before. All the BAF pieces I got look like they go with the one on the right. I thought maybe the one on the left came with the variants, but I have all the variants and all the pieces look the same to me. Anyone know how you would get the one on the left?

yea, it was a running change, the Annihilus wave did the same thing, some are more purple than pink

It's amazing how I didn't end up with a single black piece, even though I have the whole wave with all the variants, all bought from different places. They must be rare. I need to examine my Annihilus pieces to see if they all match-up. Were the black pieces rare ?

rare-er though i don't think they go for much more, and i don't think any of the annihilus is more rare than the other

i lucked out with Annihilus, mine's mostly all pinkish, aside from his neck piece, which is purple, but it looks symmetrical at least. and not noticeable

Okay, I'm surprised to hear myself saying this, but I want more ML Alpha Flight Characters. Now that I have Sasquatch, have a bead on a Guardian, and with Puck coming, it would be really awesome to get a Northstar, Aurora, Shaman, and Snowbird (besides the Sasquatch variant) Vindicator, Major Mapleleaf, and Talisman. Now that they were all resurrected, they can finally bring back the original team... There's no excuse not to have a Northstar figure at this point, at the very least. I guess I'll have to settle for Omega Flight, with Sasquatch, Beta Ray Bill, Arachne, Guardian, US Agent... But Ugh! Still missing Talisman! Can't win.

ill be happy with.. Northstar, Aurora, and Snowbird. Shawman, Vindicator, and Marina would just be nice bonus's.

no need for Talisman or major maple leaf..

Okay guys, I need to get a She-Hulk.. Which one would you go with? I'm thinking Blob series, but I've never seen any of them in person. There's also the SDCC and the Fin Fang Foom series to choose from.

Ended up finding a Blob Series on Ebay for $14.99, couldn't pass it up.

EW the fing fang foom version is god awful.... the Blob version is currently the best we have, though for she-hulk fans the SDCC fig is great too

but yeah the Foom Shulkie is horrid, and is just a repaint of Shanna's body... so she's also incredibly out of scale.

I just liked the face and the sexy bikini body of the FFF one. I have to admit that the Blob series is better, and at half the cost I couldn't pass it up. I would like to get the SDCC version at at some point.

trust me, her face looks cheap as hell in person. it's easily one of hasbro's worst. the Hulk line and f4 line especially are full of some of the cheapest looking figures

As much as I would like to complete the Blob series, cuz he is a pretty decent BAF... I just can't see myself buying the movie Jean Grey and Juggernaut, or the Ultimate Wolverine. I now have She Hulk, Yellowjacket, Quicksilver, and will definitely pick-up Lord Thor and Xorn.. But unless I can find them dirt cheap, I have no desire to buy the other three. Maybe I'll just pick up Blob loose at some point. Damn you Hasbro and your crappy X3 figures.
