Marvel: New Spidey Game & Ultimate Alliance (Sequel announced.)

IGN and Yahoo have some info, they seem to have teamed up on this game with Activsion.

Luke Cage, SHIELD, and Kingpin are confirmed to be in the game thanks to Yahoo.

IGN has a few game mechanics explained.

There's also a trailer...which is honestly kind of useless.

i hope he says....

link??!

No prob.

SO, I concede and will agree that maybe this game is a "to his roots" type game (Yahoo even claims it), but after the trash that was SM3, I don't have hope for it unless I see more about it.

I'm just happy there's no Vicarious Visions ANYWHERE (their logo isn't even shown on the game's official site), but that doesn't mean the game won't suck.

Who knows?

That's understandable, we can just play the new Spidey game. I prefer Spider-Man over M:UA anyway. :P I just hope it's a good game.

Prioritising the new Spider-Man game over MUA2 is a stupid move imo!

How's it a stupid move? The more time they have to work on M:UA 2, the less bugs, more features, blah blah blah. You don't remember the bugs in M:UA? Deadpool's Teleport Flurry killing him, some powers overpowered while others underpowered, characters stuck mid-air after jumping...

If waiting for M:UA 2 means more play testing, less bugs, and more time to work on the game, then I'm all for it.

That's one way to look at it, another is that they're putting MUA2 on the backburner in favour of the Spider-Man game.

"Update: Apparently Wombat misremembered his conversation with Activision. MUA2 hasn’t been moved out of 2008 as previously said. Apparently the quote related to not wanting to release MUA2 too close to the new Spider-Man game coming out, but nothing more was said. Wombat’s post about the mixup is here."

Oh sweet, it was a mistake. Hooray! I'm really looking forward to MUA2 and I hope it sticks to the tenative 2008 release we've all been hearing about.

November 08 is what I'm betting on.Probally early setember for the spidey game. That's just my guess though.

Yeah I'd say they'll release it just in time for the Christmas market. Fingers crossed!

I dont see why that would be the case since both games are developed by 2 different studios. Neversoft is doing Spider-man while Raven is doing MUA

They should forget about PS2 and the likes for the next game! Focus on next gen systems!!
I beg to differ since there are alot of ppl who still can't afford to purchase a next-gen system.

and the next gen system owners suffer bc of that. They should focus on the next gen versions and give the PS2 version to another studio to port. Activision does that with some of its other series, such as SM3, the last 2 Tony Hawk games

That's what they're doing with Spider-Man's new game and most likely what they'll do with M:UA 2. Sony won't kill PS2 until PS3 REALLY gets going in the market that won't happen until probably next year. So look forward to more PS2 games until then.

They'd better do it with MUA2. MUA suffered as a result of PS2 porting last time.
