Yeah, but Wolverine's powers are still the same. How'd Angel get his metallic wings back? Are they, like, casings over his real wings now or something?

Wolfsbane who was apparently brainwashed by the Purifiers and her pops rips them off. Apparently, the Apocalypse gene still lives within him causing it to attempt to repair his body and wings, causing the reemergence of the metal wings and Archangel. Somehow, the Purifiers knew of this, and have created their own army of metal winged Pat Robertsons.

Damn, sucks for Angel. Oh well, he was more useful with the metal wings anyway. I'm guessing since he's apparently joined up with Wolverine's band of murderers that he's super-angsty as Archangel again, right?

Even Jean wouldn't cure Cyclops of his complete ****wad attitude. I understand where he's coming from, what with the extinction of mutantkind nigh and all, but I can't say I like Cyclops much anymore as a result. And Beast would probably still be a humorless bore (unlike the Skrull in the Who(m) Do You Trust? one-shot, who ruled). And Iceman would still be... well, Iceman's still mostly okay.

Well, not more mutants, specifically. He seems willing to kill anyone who ****s with the mutants he decides are worth saving. X-Force is off killing the human Purifiers.

I think I'll be passing on it. I'd much rather read a Namor story that follows up on his last miniseries (which was excellent) than read an out of continuity MK story.
