I wonder what the reaction will be if we dom't get a big round back spider.

Knowing how people here have overreacted to every little detail, probably not good. I see all these suits posted and my thought is "uh, they look the same." If it's as comics accurate as Captain America, it's enough for me.

It would bit. But as long as both spiders look good I be happy. Though I would love to see tick spider make it on film some day.

The marketing side of now "Sony & Marvel's Spider-Man" is a lot more complicated than people may think. Sony is not going to give Marvel carte blanche, neither will Marvel when Sony uses their characters in Spidey's upcoming solo movie. Everything done needs to be pre-approved and whatnot. Not to mention they also need to come up with marketing strategies together.

If Disney/Marvel is using Spider-Man in this movie I can almost guarantee Sony will want their logo somewhere in the opening credits. Whether it's "In collaboration with" or something along those lines. And rightfully so, he's a Sony character. We've just never seen a deal like this.

I'm pretty sure they're just being cautious putting him back in the spotlight after the last outing. CW will lead into marketing for the second reboot and if the Marvel connection isn't utilised properly then what's the point in the deal?

Also, every bit of time he's off the radar gives distance to the previous disappointment.

I wonder if the same marketing thing will happen when Avengers 3 comes. They can't hold him back forever. :hmm

I think after his reveal in CW Spider-Man will be marketed much more freely and heavily in future MCU endeavors

Seesh folks are really thinking there is more to the promoting thing then really likely the case. Yes there may be a issue to work out now. But come on marvel and sony are going to work things out that is hood for both parties.

Now on solo spidey and civil war stuff. Again it's still likely sony wants to reveal stuff on solo. Then marvel can reveal civil war stuff. Again no where in the reports said there wouldn't promote spidey at all.

As for civil war we already know sony doesn't get anything for the official mcu films spidey appears in. As they don't have any control there. Plus they already don't make money of merch stuff for spidey in general. So I doubt ssony will get any thing in credits for mcu teamup films. Just like how the disney logo isn't in front of mcu films and all we get is the ben Vista credit in the credits.

Now for the solo films that is a different case. Sony of course is still footing the costs and are producing the film so there credits be there at start. Though will marvel studios logo be there in start like when we had paramount and universal before disney we don't know that at this time.

If an MCU character makes an appearance/cameo in a Spidey film then I'd certainly expect the Marvel Studios logo to appear. I doubt Sony would not approve, that's free goodwill for their tarnished brand.

The Marvel Studios logo will definitely be there. It's a Marvel Studios co-production.

Ya the only real question for the solo films is will ms logo be in start with sony logo. Will it just be the standard marvel entrainment logo like the fox and sony films had. Or will ms logo be just credit toward end of end credits.

Personally since the whole deal was to have character a part of the mcu. And play in the mcu. Also we know marvel is thr creative force for solo. It's more then likely going to start sony/Columba pictures logo, then the marvel studios logo, then right into the rest of the opening credits.

Am I reading the same post copy and pasted three times per page or what?

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't that one of the main parts of the deal? Spidey being in the MCU, and when Sony makes his solo movies they can use characters from the MCU?

You're correct. I'm referring to the "carte blanche", I really hope Sony lets Marvel have complete freedom with Spidey and his characters. I want to see Daily Bugle easter eggs in Daredevil, JJ, etc. And I really want to see characters showing up in other films, like Norman Osborn.

I am sure they will be able to use and mention any spidey corner stuff in teamup films. Just as sony can refrence and use with marvel control on the marvel controlled characters to appear. If they didn't what would be pursue for the deal and letting marvel use the characrer. If the solo films are shutter off into its own private corner and can't refrence mcu things.

Exactly what I feel about this too.
I don't know what the big deal is ... Even more, there is a deal about Holland's hair if it's accurate or not? LOL

I'm going to remain optimistic about stuff like this. but I think people are going to be disappointed. Even if Marvel is allowed to use characters from Spider-Man, they need to get with Sony and have it approved. This means how they plan to use the characters, story arcs, who's playing said character(if they haven't already been introduced). Gonna be very tough to get this done. Like I said, I'll remain optimistic that stuff like this can happen, but I'm gonna prepare like none of it will happen. Don't want to be disappointed.

As long as Spider-Man is in the MCU and he is awesome I'm cool with waiting.

Ya once we have costume some more casting news and then filming under way there will be a lot more to talk about. It's just sucks in dry spell still and things end up going around and around.

Really if sony didn't want the marvel u and marvel branding to be used in solo and the non solo films spidey in. They really wouldn't have made deal. We likely would have saw asm 3 go on. Or another non marvel reboot. It would be counter productive if we can't refrence spidey stuff in team films or the other way. Plus we already know aunt may in civil war and other things likely to be mentioned. So this is likely a moot issue.

The issue really at hand right now is how to go about promoting spidey in mcu films and the solo films. As per deal we know sony makes nothing off merch still as marvel and disney has that. We know sony doesn't get a dime off mcu team films box office. Just like marvel doesn't make anything off solo films box office. They are just trying to work out or for all we know have worked out how to cross promote so each side gets best out of deal and branding.

I doubt it. Sony still has to make a movie in 2017 based on this Spider-Man. It has to be a blend of what both studios want, particularly Sony.
