Marvel vs Capcom 2 on XBLA and PSN

I would buy a RE vs Marvel game. Sure you could use Chris and Leon. Leons more martial arts oriented, Chris more brawler/grappler oriented. Nemesis I'm not crazy about. Wesker is Wesker is Wesker. He needs to be in a MvC game.

In a RE vs Marvel, ok I could see that, but in just a MVC I don't see any need for more then one female lead and one male lead from RE to be represented personally. It wouldn't be a big deal, but imo there are just better characters from both sides to fill those slots.

I can meet you halfway on one of each, Wesker should have priority over Nemesis and Tryant, but if it's RE5 Wesker I would prefer they just take out the villain part all together.

I dont care to see any more Megaman characters. Never did like the look of megaman or anyone from his universe. As for Wesker, he's the same in all the games. As long as he doesn't go off on a tirade about ruling the world with his own zombie army, you wont be able to tell a difference.

He's the same in all the games? In 5 his costume looks like he raided Nero's closest as well as his ability of super speed and teleportation. That's pretty different to me from what he saw in RE1 & Zero. Even in Code Veronica when he seemed to have enhanced strength (which I wasn't too big a fan of either, for that matter), I don't remember him ever displaying his super speed and teleport abilities.

We knew he wasn't just an avg ex STARS member, and considering Wesker was the mastermind behind everything, he shouldn't have been just an avg individual. Its these abilites that would make him great for MvC.

I personally dont think he was teleporting, i think that was done to show how fast he was from Chris's perspective. His costume was fine. We knew what Wesker was capable of when he showed up in CV. If there intention was that, then they should have made it more of a blur effect like when you fight him instead of a puff of smoke. That looked just like Nightcrawler teleporting or something, not super speed. We did not know that Wesker had these abilities in CV, a form of super strength, yes (even though I never guessed he would be able to catch a ****ing rocket in his bare hands), but at no point do I ever remember seeing any intention that he had super speed and/or teleportation abilities, not once do I remember that and, if he did, I'm mistaken, but I still consider it completely stupid.

I hated his costume. I liked The Matrix and all, but it felt out of place to me.

Him being behind it all brought him above just 'an avg individual'. He didn't need to have super strength and all that other crap.

If you have no problem with it, that's fine, I'm not going to argue with you about it, but don't expect me to agree with you about it. I don't want that version of the character in any game I ever play again. There's a hellavu lot better characters that I think would be better suited for his spot. You give me old Wesker from more like RE1 & 0 without any teleportation/super speed and his STARS uniform or even his just plain black suit from CV I'll be alright, but the one from RE5, no sir, not for me.

Very interesting. This almost totally confirms it, ESRB rating, arcade stick, achievement list and all the other things the article mention surely can't be anything else.

The question now is whether we'll end up seeing a direct port or if they'll tweak it for PSN and XBLA?

Number 2 is very unlikely since that website has a huge 2 in the background, unless Capcom is throwing a big red herring with the website and the stick and the achievement list is bogus.

Cable was one of my favorites to use in single player, although I hated him in multi due to his super mega gun cheapness.

Yeah, I really hope there's some balance tweaking when they release this. It's been awhile, but I remember there were more then a few overpowered or just plain cheap ass characters in the game

cable and iron man come to mind immediately, though there are a few others.

they are just so incredible cheap, i can imagine online play will be full of abusers.
