More BS reasons why certain characters aren't in

Were there any fighters that didn't make the cut in "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" that you wish had?

Of course! Characters like Blade and Black Panther were on the list in the early stages of the game's design. When we got into the mechanics of the characters many dropped off for one reason or another. For Blade, his abilities were almost identical to Deadpool's, and Pool's characterization, teleportation and ability to break the fourth wall won out. Black Panther -- a favorite of mine ever since "Secret Invasion" -- was ruled out because characters like Taskmaster already duplicated a lot of what Black Panther would do on screen. Building the right character roster is tricky work, but in the end, I feel that we put together a broad spectrum of old and new characters for both versions of the game

I never played Taskmaster and thought he was exactly how Id imagine BP would be

Justin Wong has said Vergil is too cheap. 600k combo without super or assist.

Same applies for Wesker. So, still expect him to be in every other team.

Frank has the new Tron/Akuma godly assist.

So Black Panther uses a shield, bow and arrow, webs? What the hell Capcom? All of your ****ing excuses flew out the window once you had Ryu and Akuma in the game and brought in characters, that you made excuses for not being in MvC3.

Their Doctor Octopus excuse is also awful. So, you mean they had absolutely no problem putting Omega Red in previous games, and had no problem putting Shuma Gorath in this one, someone who has more tentacles, FAR more detail and complexity in both design and movement, yet putting Doc Ock in would have had caused technical difficulties.

Stick to blaming the movie reboot, Capcom.

Dr. Octopus would've been better used as a sub-boss / hidden boss. Considering he has more and longer tentacles at his disposal, the guy would've been freaking cheap!

About Omega Red, you're comparing sprites and models. Apples and oranges. And Doc Ock walks on his tentacles and has to combo and move appropriately with them, that's harder to do than with Shuma, and especially when Shuma's move set was already created.

I wanted Ock as well, but I can understand this. But oh well. There's always GG when it comes to Spidey villains. It would be refreshing to have a non symbiote Spidey villain and it would show people that his rogue gallery isn't all about Venom and Carnage.

I can also understand the Blade thing, but Black Panther/Taskmaster? They would have been better off saying Wolverine and X-23.

Actually Marvel said that. Marvel Game President or something like that.

& if this means BP will get in, then F*** YEAH! I highly doubt that they'd choose Taskmaster over BP anyway if it WAS because the two play similarly.

Awhile back in the 60s Dr. Strange wasn't selling too many comics, so Marvel decided to try and make him more of a traditional superhero by giving him a mask. His book was canceled anyway and he soon stopped wearing the mask.

Rather than more brawler black heroes like Cage, Panther, and Blade I wish Marvel focused more on pushing black heroes with a more unique power set like Monica Rambeau, Maggot, Cecilia Reyes, and Rocket Racer. And in the case of Rocket Racer give him a completely new design and color scheme. I don't just mean in MvC either. I mean in the comics, though since Marvel is using MvC as a tool to promote more obscure characters, I guess that's the same thing.

Oh man I would KILL for Maggot or Cecilia!!! Actually, I'd just KILL for an X-Men Legends III that was Operation: Zero Tolerance themed - although it would NEVER happen.
