Marvel vs. Capcom 3

X-Play may have some new reveals tonight. God bless my soul I have to put up with Sessler for this.

Did they advertise the reveals?

Actually out of everything I loathe about G4 and X-Play, Sessler is the one thing about G4 I don't toally hate.

He's kinda neat and knows a lot about the industry. It's the rest of the morons that work for G4 that make it the mockery that it is.

It's just like how Kotaku is probably the worst gaming 'blog' out there, were it not for Totillo, who is awesome.

Eh. Sessler bugs me for some reason. Rubs me the wrong way. I know he's probably the most knowledgeable at G4, but I just never liked him.

Sessler's Soapbox is the last great thing about G4. If only the reviews were like that.

I'll give it a watch tonight, but I'm not expecting too much.

It's probably just Taskmaster and Akuma. They're always late. But sometimes G4 does get exclusives.

Marvel's given them several reveals for their Fresh Ink comic segment on Attack of the Show recently, so it's not out of the possibility.

Damn, they're talking about an older reveal than we thought, Phoenix and Haggar.

...This is the same MvC3 segment they had online more a week ago.

Hey now, it takes effort to pilfer viral YouTube videos for an "Epic Fail" segment.

I got excited catching up on the thread thinking there would be new reveals just to find out G4 sucks more then ever.

Could another reason a certain character not be in because

he died?(Human Torch)

My least favorite of the four?

Nah...Marvel probably didn't want to force all four into the game.

I was thinking Mega Man's exclusion really has to do with Inufane's departure of Capcom, and his dissatification of the industry. Maybe. Farfetched.

That would've happened way late in the development of this game, wouldn't it? That was pretty recent.

Then why is Zero in the game? Wasn't that his favorite character or something?

They had that planned for about a year.

Yeah, but wasn't Frank West in the game really far into dev, and he got stripped from the project.

I think Zero is Inuking's fave. So I dunno. Just me trying to find a better reason Capcom would do something as unexpected as not having their Mickey Mouse, their Mario, their corporate icon not be in an all-stars game.

He designed Zero though. In fact Zero was supposed to be the main character of the X series. Capcom and Seth are just lazy.

Nah, I see greed being the reason for no MM. Why have one initially, when you can have 2-4 as DLC & please everyone?

I heard like half of Trish's moveset is new to MvC3 (I know nothing about DMC so I'm not 100% sure), so the MM excuse is BS.

I want Phoenix Wright's super-move to be him yelling "OBJECTION!" and then the other player just f***ing explodes.

Mega Man is a character difficult to adapt to MvC because you only have Megabuster as a weapon and a good character for this fighting game needs more variety.

Good Lord... Mario could only jump, yet we see him in Smash Bros duke it out with the likes of Link and Samus.

Either they just really hate the character or they want to save him as the last reveal. Because I just can't believe what I'm reading. Especially since there isn't just one Mega Man available. If they think classic Mega Man is too lame, despite the fact that he had tons of different weapons in these past 10 games, they could pick either Starforce or EXE.

Kirby will NOT be in the next Super Smash Bros.
  • He doesn't offer variety, what with his ability to copy everyones' moves.
  • He's not important enough, even though he's a Nintendo mainstray that has yet to lose relevance over the years.
  • Even though he's been in every SSB yet, he won't return
  • Even though the creator of the SSB series is the creator of Kirby, too, he won't return.
  • Instead of Kirby representing the Kirbyverse, you'll keep King Dedede and Meta Knight, but not the hero, the star, the Kirby of the Kirbyverse.
  • We're choosing Starfy over Kirby (a jab at the rumors Arthur is Mega Man's replacement)
These are the reasons. They make the most sense. There is now flaw in this logic...

Mega Man Rage Quit

The only acceptable versions of Mega Man to me are classic and Volnutt. :o
