Got my lastest Game Informer in the mail today with a review of MVC3 inside.It was game of the month with a 9.25 score.A bit disappointed though that the endings won't be animated.

I love how people complain that mk is broken cause in some games you can do like 60% damage combos, then I see these 100% combos and wonder why these games are held in such high regard with tournament players, this game looks to be just as broken as mvsc2 was and thats hella broken. Cant wait to see the cheapness online, this game is gonna be a freakin free for all of cheapness and 100% combos

It's often very impossible in these games to complete a 100 percent combo because of the game's speed and flow. There's always a way to break someone's combo and take advantage of a seemingly bad situation in these games.

Mortal Kombat is at a MUCH slower pace than this.

Who cares? No one plays this game because they want a rich and compelling story. Use you fav characters and beat the hell out of you opponent, there, theres your story.

Yeah but it would be nice to see some cutscenes even if they didn'thave dialogue. Just to move the "story" mode along. I'd like to know why the fate of two worlds requires Thor beating up Dormanu.

I care. I'd like a good story. I'd like cutscenes. I'd like an animated ending for all chars.
I like an elaborated thing. It would only add to the game and make the money spent even worthier.

all video games need stories, fighters are no different, i'd argue that fighters are in need of a good story more then most other types of games, because there isnt much other way of developing the characters and making people actually care about them

the game was broke, but it was fun because of the broken gameplay.

I couldn't get into MvC2 because only a few broke characters dominated the game. But in MvC3 the whole cast is looking very very powerful. Thor 100% for one metter, Sentinel 100%, Hulk 100%, the power of ridiculous rush down characters, the annoying zoning of the keep away characters.....this game is amazing.

Make everybody bloody broken, give everybody the means to do ridiculous crap, and you have one high powered game where you can pick up w/e character you want and that character will be SICK. Great way to make a game compared to SSF4 approach which is to NERF the hell out of every character until the game is a stale, slow paced fighter where people are afraid to get offense going for fear of RANDOM ultra or reversal

agreed, 3+ hours of cut scenes alone and an epic story mode at least 3x as long as mk vs dc will give me my story fix. Im super stoked on getting mvc3, but im really waiting for MK the most

Because if a game is broken and is not fun, it sucks. Some games just can't work that way

MvC3 looks to have a full cast of absolutely SICK characters, and have fast paced mayhem and fun

And if everyone is broken, has powerful tools, then the game is....GASP! balanced

One size doesn't fit all, and if you don't like it then dont buy the game
