Marvel's Runaways coming to Hulu

I still need to read Runaways. Not knowing these actors or the source material very well, all I can say is they look pretty good for the role.

Some of them look like the characters. Molly doesn't look like the comic version though. That wasn't her name was it? I thought it was Molly something else and she was a blonde and she was younger.

And how come there's no Victor Mancha?

Is Chase Stein the one with the dinosaur? Are they going to have that? That would be a lot of CGI each week.

And is Karolina going to wear flip flops all the time like the comic version?

This version looks to be almost around the same age or not significantly younger.

Yes. Her name was Molly Hayes and she was about 4 years younger than the others (aside from Chase who was the oldest by a year and Klara Prast who was also young like Molly but introduced later).

He's a later addition to the team, introduced in Vol. 2. He wouldn't really fit in the season 1 storyline since his parents are not part of the pride, probably.

Originally it was Gert with Old Lace. I hope so. That's true, I'm wondering wether it would be more expensive to do it CG like in Primeval or with Walking with Dinosaurs stage show style puppets for the most part.

As for when it could air, that's up in the air. It's a Hulu series so it doesn't have to stick to the Fall or Winter airdates most shows usually do. As for how it'll air on Hulu, that's also a tough one to call as some shows go up weekly and others go up in one big batch.

True, although I doubt they could do Xavin if they wanted. I don't really know anyone who cares about Klara, so we'll have to see if she's ever brought back in comics or included in the show.

I agree with you there. As for airing... if you live in a place that doesn't have Hulu, aka if you dont live in the US, they sometimes air the series on tv like they did with The Mindy Project in Canada.

Well I'm glad we're getting Runaways and Cloak and Dagger.

We ought to get a forum for the two of these.

I don't know if Old Lace is going to feature all the time, but might only come out for special occasions, or be used very sparingly, almost like how Ghost Rider was in Agents of SHIELD. I just hope it looks like it has some weight to it when it walks and not like old 90s or 2000s computer graphics.

I hope Molly is not an Inhuman, although they might decide to go that route since they already have all that set up in AoS.

I also hope that Molly isn't an Inhuman. I don't mind if it's just some special thing the family has that they think wasn't passed along to Molly.

It will definitely be interesting to see how they treat Old Lace. Hopefully it gets picked up for a 13 episode season where they don't have to stretch the budget too thin.

I'm fine with this casting. They look convincing enough. Except for the dude playing Chase. He really doesn't look like a teen. I get that they won't cast actual teenagers (except for Molly, since she's the youngest) but they could've tried harder for Chase.

Well it's not like she needs to earn the right to wear them.

I don't care how impractical they are for fighting. I hope she wears them every episode and maybe even has a large collection of them, like a flip flop closet.
