Homecoming Marvel's Spider-Man Costume!? - Part 1

I do love that freakin' suit. Those eyes are the epitome of perfection, imo.

However, I do think they could make some improvements...

As many people have already said, using the "fat" spider on the back would be great. And if they could show the jaw movement when he's talking, it would be amazing.

Another thing I've thought about (and I know it's crazy) is animating the eyes. Maybe make the eyes out of fabric or something very pliable so that they actor could manipulate the eyes subtlety through facial gestures? Or just throw in some very subtle CG effects?

Idk. I'm crazy.
I'd rather like to see more muscle padding.

Use the costume from the TV show "Ultimate Spider-Man" with a few modifications:

Connect the red from his shoulder to his wrist/hand.
Brighter blue.

That's literally it, the rest is perfect, especially the spider-logos.

Also Marvels Spider-Man please don't try to modernize the wall crawler. I know i will get flack for this but the ASM series let me down. I couldn't buy Peter Parker as a genius or a nerd his was a skateboarding punk. And Please for the love of Pete (pun intended) don't ever give me an evil pixie fairy as Green Goblin again. Don't get me wrong i know the original trilogy was based on the original ASM comics. And the ASM movie series was based on ultimates. I would love for the crossover series to find some common ground. Not so old fashioned that it's not believable, but not so modernized that you lose the core of who Peter Parker is.

This but with black webbing and different shaped lenses:

I want this so bad.
David Lafuente is my favorite artist for Spiderman.

And for the love of God have the actor put on some muscle. Luckily I don't think we'll have to worry about that with Marvel. Heck, they even got Paul Rudd to buff up a little.

I like having the webbing stick out. Gives it more life than just flat webbing.

Anyways I wonder if we will get the Iron-Spider suit.

Classic with the round tick on his back and I will be happy.

The classic is iconic, it'd be difficult to pull off, say, the future foundations costume. I could see Marvel working in the Iron Spider costume for a movie. And if Venom shows up I hope the symbiote actually looks right, but I'm getting off track.

I'm also voting for flat webbing. The raised webbing always looked weird to me.

I'm one of the people that really hates the white webbing of the Raimi suit. To me, it just makes it look really busy and clashes with some of the other colors. Plus, he shoots webs of the same color. That's really distracting to me.

This is the costume thread, you realize, right? Also, skateboarding is a common way for young people to travel the city, regardless of their socio-economic situation. When I was in college and living in the city, students of all social groups used skateboards, whether they were geeks, goths, punks, jocks, etc. It was just a quick and easy way to get around. Less expensive than a cab and less cumbersome than a bike.

First, i like TASM2 lenses i think they can rework those to be smaller with the black part with different shape...

I hope they find a material that looks like cloth and that they use raised webbing but not that raised kinda like TASM:

the front spider should be small, like Raimi`s first suit:

and even if some people doesn`t like this symbol i think it works for the back:

I just tweaked the asm2 suit but the point is, bigger eyes, more vibrant color and for the actor to put on some muscle this time around.

Also, the original spider on the back would be sweet with the spectacular one on the front.

I can personally guarantee all of you, that Marvel and Sony aren't just going to use an altered version of the TASM2. It will be a NEW costume.

I agree, they will distance themselves from the previous iterations in every possible way.

I'm just not a photoshop wiz so I used the previous suit to get my point across.

Of course they could always go in this direction...

That would be something the general public hasn't seen before

Prior to the spider bite, Parker was an uncoordinated bookworm. Skateboards require quite a bit of balance and coordination, not to mention practice.

Andrew's Peter was more of a social outsider. He couldn't relate to his peers because of his family issues and because he is smarter than most of them, which is why he is friends with Gwen who is his intellectual equal, and why he begins to understand Flash when he finds out more about his home life. It's no less of a valid interpretation and to be honest I'm tired of this simplistic 60s stereotype that only clumsy book worms are unpopular and intelligent. Personally, I like the skateboarding. It gives him a more diverse range of interests so he is more three dimensional, it gave us a cool sequence of him figuring out his powers, it gives him an excuse for his injuries, and it's subtle character foreshadowing that it's believable he would enjoy swinging around all day. Overall I thought it made him a more nuanced character rather than just being a high school nerd clique stereotype. It's the equivalent of the MCU's Tony Stark being a fan of hard rock like ACDC and Black Sabbath. It's not from the comics, but it makes sense for their particular interpretation.

Also, this is the costume thread, so this is pretty off topic. Plus, the Amazing Spider-man series is over so why does it even matter anymore? I guarantee the next Spider-man won't be a skater if that is what you are worried about since that part of Peter's character was Andrew's own idea, partly basing it off of his real life.
