Mass Effect 3

I read that. :o

Anywho, I think Liara is the only character who can't die through 1 - 2.

Obviously, Ashley or Kaiden and Wrex can die in the 1st and Tali and Garrus in the 2nd.

Which means, you can only take Ashley/Kaiden or Liara into the 3rd game depending on how you played the 1st two.

I think I'm gonna set up a playthrough so by the end Shep has lost his entire original crew hahah.

I'm not saying it will be game of the year, just that it gets very little love on the hype for some reason... The same Hype that goes crazy over every single MUA game. Topsy turvy fanboys.

Blah, I think the MUA games are absolute garbage.

I'd completely forgotten that we're getting more ME3 in PSM next month as well, though that one I'll need the scans for (seeing as I only get GameInformer).

Nothing's been confirmed yet but its almost a given that we're going to see a trailer at E3 in June so we don't have to wait too long for some video.

Me thinks he tellith a fib. [BLACKOUT](Maybe he is thinking of Samara/Morinth)[/BLACKOUT]

yeah, I read the comments. He said he meant the "other blue chick who was hunting down a fugitive murderer or something". Shows how much he actually paid attention to the game.

Just got my gameinformer a minute ago.

I'll relay some of the new stuff that I can see:

There's a concept art shot of the Normandy interior with Shepard at the CID. Most of it looks the same, the computer panels are blue instead of orange and there are large red holographic displays running along the walls that used to be bare in ME2.

There's a shot of the Reapers advancing on a city that we saw before but now that I can see it more clearly the planet in the background looks like Earth, meaning the shot may be of a city on the moon.

Some concept art of a bombed out city with a Reaper landed nearby.

A good shot of some Cerberus commandos moving up with Eviscerator Shotguns. There's another shot with one of them using what looks like jetboots.

There's also a sleek female Cerberus armored ninja with a katana and what looks like a Iron Man styled repulsors on her palm.

There's a shot of a Cerberus commando smashing through the roof of Shepard's cabin on the Normandy, causing the room to depressurize.

Another shot of Shepard getting ready to fire off some kind of blast. Its bright red but there's no Omni-tool active. This is followed by a shot of Liara and Shepard fighting together.

I'll go through and read soon but wow, some really cool stuff here.

Did you read the part where the Alliance seizes the Normandy, disassembles, and then reassembles it with some new rooms?

I think melee weapons could be a cool addition; I never felt like the elbow smash from 2 was very effective. And Samara felt incomplete without some kind of ancient relic Asari sword.

Maybe that's getting too close to Star Wars for some people though? I'd be happy with a big wicked ass combat knife for Shepard.

Eh. You pretty much hit it on the nose when you said "Maybe that's getting too close to Star Wars". At least thats's how I feel about melee weapons. Besides, a Bioware dev confirmed on the forums that there aren't melee weapons in the game, but every class has a unique attack. Any ideas on what they might be?

It'll probably be like:

Infiltrator = Stealth attack
Vanguard = melee strike/Biotic Charge

Could Lady Raiden up there be a female Batarian? She has four "eye lights".

I'm not going to make a whole new thread for this, so I'll post it in here.

It looks like an Ex-Bioware level designer may have accidentally spilled the beans on Jade Empire 2.

Does the first game hold up well? If so I may play it.

Here's some gameplay

Usually you'd have 1 party member with you but for this sequence the player is alone.

I think it had some potential. It reminds me a bit of ME1 where it had the ability to turn into something really special if they followed it up right.

The story takes a little to get going but I say if you can get it for a good price its definitely worth it.

Looks cool. Does it have dialogue and a leveling system or is it mostly an action game? I literally know nothing about Jade Empire other than the obvious surface level stuff.

Its got the whole KoTOR dialogue system with alignment bars, there is some leveling stuff as well, if I remember correctly there are 3 stats: body, mind and spirit and numerous fighting styles that you can add points to.

Interesting. I'll definitely check it out at some time in the future. Though at this point I'll probably wait and see what, if anything, Bioware is going to do with Jade Empire 2.

I really liked Jade Empire. I played it on my friend's X-Box back in 2005. I haven't touched it since though, so I don't know from experience if it holds up well.

Nice scans. It was inevitable that you'd have to go round trying to unite all the different races under one banner to fight the Reapers. Should be interesting.

Still no info on Miranda being a squad member again eh

I honestly got a little depressed reading that "The End" part. I mean yeah it's cool, to have this 4 year journey come to an end but give us something about Shepherd Jr. or something like that. :(
