Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

I'd definitely prefer Beta Ray Bill to Jane Foster, despite the current Lady Thor story being great. Bill just adds more, I'd say.

I believe they could still keep the big three (RDJ, Evans and Hemsworth) around past Infinity War. I'd also think another final "solo" movie for each of them is not impossible, and then afterwards have them in much more reduced roles. It seems to me, just from interviews and everything, that they love Marvel and the characters/stories and would be willing to create new contracts etc..
It's what I hope at least, I'm not a fan of recasting.

Guardians of the Galaxy vol 3 is almost a given
Spider-Man 2 is probably being banked on
A Black Panther sequel is very likely
Dr Strange sequel is also very likely
A third Ant-Man movie...depends on the second ones success..
A second Captain Marvel movie could come later in the phase...

On the t.v side....

I can see Agents of Shield still going, but not with as many of the current/original cast. Think like a revolving door of characters you see in police/hospital shows. And there's always a whole host of storys they could do...

Netflix could merge Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones into one Heroes for Hire. Daredevil could probably still go for a few seasons. I think around phase IV we'd start getting Moonknight, Blade, Ghost Rider etc

--------------------------

What would I really like to see?

A Daredevil/Spider-Man team up. It seems ridiculous to me that these two (and the other defenders) will be operating within Manhatten and not come across each other once. Kingpin could be the main villian, with a few superpowered henchmen. Netflix or movie, I'm not fussed...but it should happen.

Like Fixxxer said, If there is to be a female Thor, don't make her a female Thor. Lady Sif is right there. She's a hero, Asguardian, and Odin could grant her the power of Thor so she may wield the hammer. Genderbending roles is stupid and a cheap gimmick.

A Thunderbolts netflix series. Thunderbolt Ross recruits a bunch of villians/questionable people to form a team to take out threats before they get out of hand. Zemo, Crossbones, Punisher, Deathlok, Elektra, Nuke, Abomination, Blizzard etc are all potential members that have already been introduced so far in the universe with Boomerang, Shocker (If Marvel worked something out with Sony) Bullseye (After an appearance on Daredevil) Cyclone, Atlas and Moonstone being able to be introduced for the series.

Fantastic Four back. Yep, they should get them back for Phase IV....just one movie in the phase though and have them face off against a villian we haven't seen them fight before, like Annihilus...or even Namor and introduce Atlantis.

Doctor Doom OR Galactus being the big villian of the phase, with the Avengers and Fantastic Four coming together to defeat him. Doctor Doom could have more buildup....

A Thunderbolts netflix series.

I have no idea why this idea keeps getting brought up. Netflix is not the place for big bombastic superhero stories that require a lot of money.

It doesn't HAVE to need alot of money, it does not need big CGI heroes like red hulk it could focus on Elektra, Punisher and other anti hero/redemption style characters. I would be up for either a movie or series.

For Example you could have a team of Elektra, Punisher, Bullseye and Absorption man, very little effects costs (Absorption man effects should be pretty cheap).

Look at this tweet. A Captain Britain TV show? This artist is doing promo pictures for the show.

I seriously doubt that, but I'd love to be proven wrong. If anything I'd think Brian might cameo in Most Wanted (comic Hunter is from Captain Britain stuff).

We will eventually get a tv show of everything.

I'd be cool with a Captain Britain show on Netflix.

As a Thor replacement I'd choose Hercules, just as another hero. If it has to be a character related to Thor, I'd choose Beta Ray Bill. If it has to be a female character Jane FosThor would come behind Valkyrie, Sif and even Angela for me.

I really think they should try to keep the original Thunderbolts as much as possible at first. The team with Elektra and Punisher really doesn't fit with what the Thunderbolts were supposed to be (and as if Frank would ever work on a team).

But I agree, if they really want to look at all their options out of characters they used already there are a few. They could technically use
Movies:
- Emil Blonsky/Abomination (Tim Roth)
- Samuel Sterns/Leader (Tim Blake Nelson)
- Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross/Red Hulk (William Hurt)
- James “Bucky” Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan)
- Brock Rumlow/Crossbones (Frank Grillo)
- Georges Batroc/Batroc the Leaper (Georges St-Pierre)
- Ferdinand Lopez/Machete (Adetokumboh M'Cormack)
- Ulysses Klaue/Klaw (Andy Serkis)
- Helmut Zemo/Baron Zemo/Citizen V/Iron Cross (Daniel Bruhl)
- Karl Mordo/ Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor)

Netflix:
- Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio)
- Melvin Potter/Gladiator (Matt Gerald)
- Lester/Bullseye/Hawkeye (recast from Samuel Glen)
- Will Simpson/Nuke/Scourge (Will Traval)
- Luke Cage/Power Man/Black Avenger (Mike Colter)
- Len Sirkes/Lone Shark (Brett Azar)
- Elektra Natchios/Elektra (Elodie Yung)
- Frank Castle/Punisher/Franken-Castle (Jon Bernthal)
- Mariah Dillard/Black Mariah (Alfre Woodard)
- Cornell Stokes/Cottonmouth (Mahershala Ali)
- Shades (Theo Rossi)

TV:
- Mike Peterson/Deathlok (J. August Richards)
- Franklin Hall/Graviton (Ian Hart)
- Donnie Gill/Blizzard (Dylan Minnette)
- Calvin “Zabo” Johnson/Mister Hyde (Kyle MacLachlan)
- Carl Creel/Absorbing Man/Lightningbolt (Brian Patrick Wade)
- Daniel Whitehall/Kraken (Reed Diamond)
- Marcus Scarlotti/Blacklash/Whiplash (Falk Hentschel)
- David Angar/Angar the Screamer/Voice/Scream (Jeff Daniel Phillips)
- Andrew Garner/Lash (Blair Underwood/Matthew Willig)
- “Grant Ward”/Hive (Brett Dalton)
And possibly:
- Karla Faye Gideon/Slash/Sister Agony (Drea de Matteo)
- Wendell Levi/Ghost (Ric Sarabia)

One-Shots:
- Fletcher Heggs/Knight (Allen Maldonado)
- Jackson Norris/Nighthawk (Scoot McNairy)
right now, although some are obviously not good fits for a Thunderbolts team.

We've been told Baron Zemo was introduced in Civil War specifically to have him take on a bigger role in a future movie. I suspect we will get the Thunderbolts or Masters of Evil, but not cheap ones you can do on Netflix.

Marvel is also beginning to very heavily push the original team outside of comics, which tells me even further that they're planning something MCU related for them.

I really wanna see the Ghost Rider again. While the previous movies may not have been completely stellar. I believe they portrayed the personality and badassery of the Rider correctly for the most part. And I'd love to see more of him.

Marvel needs to see the reaction of Dr Strange in order for them to move on to the mystic side of Marvel.

Heck, even they are unsure of how to do Iron Fist. Maybe they communicated with Daredevil and Dr Strange producers on the mystic before locking on how to move with Iron Fist.

Thus, I'll bet we will see a Ghost Rider film if Strange proves to be a success.

I'm also looking forward to a Blade Netflix series too. But they have to at least finish The Defenders first.

Defenders probably drops next year. The last lead in series is releasing within a year in all likelihood.

^ Possibly. I'm thinking Daredevil season 3 will come out first. The Defenders would be perfect to come out during the first part of Infinite War and could see that as Disney's reasoning of release for it.

It was mentioned by Jessica Jones's showrunner that the Defenders has a specific time that it is contractually obligated to come out by. I'm pretty sure the only reason we got a Daredevil Season 2 this soon was that there was enough time to fit that in without really affecting the overall schedule. I'm pretty sure we're only getting a Daredevil Season 3 after the Defenders. That's why Jessica Jones was announced for a Season 2 but they aren't scheduling it to come out anytime soon. We still have Luke Cage and Iron Fist to get to.

How about Thunderbolts on netflix, here would be my team:

Punisher, Elektra (depending on the events of Defenders/Daredevil season 3 if it happens), Absorbing Man, A Former Shield analyst who warned about what would happen if they messed with the tesseract (Turns out to be Hydra), Yelena Belenova- She begins working for the shield analyst gathering intel, has actually been hired by Shield to infiltrate (note she is not a Shield agents but is being paid).
Other than that other members could be added but that would be my core of the team.

Im thinking give Cox a rest. Iron Fist and Luke Cage next year. Maybe Jessica Jones Season 2 if they want. Defenders for 2018 either before or in between the Infinity War films.

The John Ridley show is 100 times likelier to be Cloak and Dagger rather than Ms. Marvel.

If they have to do Female Thor... we already have one! Her name is Sif. Haven't read the comics recently, but Jane Foster becoming Thor doesn't quite make sense to me.

Wait a minute. Thor isn't even a mantle or code-name like Iron Man or Hawkeye. It's the dude's name. It's like...

"Hey. Pepper Potts is Tony Stark now."
"Oh, OK. So she gets a powered up suit like when she had the Rescue armor?"
"No. I didn't say she's Iron Man... she's Tony Stark now."
"I give up."

This whole "some cosmic character whips out up his universe-altering-thingamajig and rewrites everything and we now have REFRESHING BOLD FRESH ALL-NEW takes on the characters" crap is why I stopped reading in the first place.

Totally agree.

How would you get punisher to work alongside criminals? He'd probably just kill them even if it cost him his life.

Thats why Beta Ray Bill would be 100% a better option

I really don't think he'd work on the big screen. Why would the ga want a horseheaded Thor when they can have Chris?

If you do need to replace Thor in the Avengers you already have Captain Marvel. Hercules would be good as it brings in the Olympians which everyone would be familiar with.

Because he can't take down the big threat on he's own, of course their would be disagreements between the Thunderbolts members and the inevitable scraps but in the end they recognize that they need to be together to deal with X, yes the Punisher does not work well with others but it would be easy to leverage he's cooperation (in exchange for info on he's families death).

Part of the point with the Thunderbolts is the tension between it's members, these are not the Avengers who are best buddies.
