Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

The only thing I’m looking forward to is Wanda’s journey in Dr Strange 2. Everything else so far that has kicked off Phase 4 has left me underwhelmed. I hope Loki ends with a big tease but I doubt it. I also have no interest in seeing Black Widow for me her journey came to an end in Endgame and I’m ok with that.

Loki spoilers

So now that the multiverse has been opened up, isn’t the easiest way to bring in both X-Men and F4 is to say they’re from different multiverses? I’m not saying bring in the Fox versions. But this is the cleanest way to do it without giving a reason why they didn’t show up to fight Thanos or any other part of this Earth’s history

No, the cleanest way is to just introduce them as new entities

I just hope that casual viewers don't find the new direction of the MCU too confusing. The Infinity Saga was a pretty straightforward narrative and Thanos a pretty straightforward villain.
But things will probably become very convoluted now.

I dont think it will confuse people. Doctor Who has done similar stuff and it is still very popular

It will probably confuse the casual MCU fans, that only watch the movies.

I dont see it being anymore confusing than people who say watched Avengers but no other movie. They will tell you everything you need to know in the movie to get it. Sure, you benefit from watching other things and following it all, but they always make each movie able to be followed on its own

end game with branch timelines were explained within the movie. i think they can explain the multiverse simple enough for everyone to get it.

I could see the MCU mentioning "Back to the Future II" in regards to Multiverse, and I am talking about the part where Marty returns to what he thinks is his timeline but finds out it's an alternate 1985. Just that times 1,000.

Marvel has been good about providing enough info in each movie for viewers to know what they need to know. For example in IW, they had Gamora give a quick lesson on the stones.

Actually that was Wong.

Hmmmm....

Nick Fury --- Valentina Allegra de Fontaine
Captain America --- US Agent
Hulk --- Abomination
Black Widow (Natasha) --- Black Widow (Yelena)
Iron Man --- ???
Thor --- ???
Hawkeye --- ???

Yep. The pattern develops!

If they brought Norman in as the Iron Man analogue, fans would go nuts. Bring back Willem for MCU Norman too.

Hawkeye analogue will likely be Tony Dalton’s Swordsman.

They won't. I do not see them making a deal for Norman. I think they will use a character they would have complete freedom with

Justin Hammer or Crimson Dynamo?

Whiplash was also kind of Crimson Dynamo too. But we have Armor Wars coming. We may get Titanium Man or Dynamo in that show proper

There are people who want to see Frank Castle in Armor Wars. I don't know if that character fits.

I think beginning in No Way Home and then concluding in Multiverse of Madness, a singular 616 timeline will be established and I think that’ll bring with it some familiar faces. Deadpool, for one (he could be the MCU’s Psycho Pirate, tbh). Maybe 616 is aptly named because Strange and his team of sorcerers manage to save 616 strands of reality & bind them together which causes some multiversal bleed.

And I could see Hugh Jackman returning too as an older mentee/drill sergeant (like in X-Men: Evolution) at a newly-established Xavier Institute in the MCU. Recast the rest of the mutants, but Jackman is this Logan too just cause. Laura can assume the mantle of Wolverine when Jackman decides he’s had enough fun playing in the superhero sandbox again—at least until after a Secret Wars crossover.

Again, like in Evolution, put him in multiple versions of the costume and people will be excited.

I'm not a fan of variants (from past movie franchises) co eXisting with the MCU. I'm giving a pass on Spider-Man as it is technically still tied to Sony Pictures... However, foXverse needs to be left alone.

I think it's clear that everything is a variant now and exist in the multiverse, but not necessarily in the sacred timeline. Nic Cage's Ghost Rider is cannon to the multiverse.
