Marvel Films MCU Phase IV!

I know, but it wasn’t going to make the March date anyway, it didn’t make sense to leave it there. I think it’s now an Untitled Disney Live Action like Deadpool.
I do not

Avengers: Endgame Directors Hint They Would Return to Marvel for Doctor Doom and the Fantastic Four - IGN

The Russos are clearly more interested in the Fox characters, specifically of the F4 variety, than anything on the slate. Maybe this bodes well for the four and Doom showing up soon

I would love to see them introduce some of the characters in upcoming films and then let the Russos do an epic FF trilogy with something like a 2023, 2025, 2027 schedule.

Black Widow - May 1, 2020
The Eternals - Nov 6, 2020

Shang Chi - Feb 12, 2021
Black Panther 2 - May 5, 2021
Doctor Strange 2 - Nov 5, 2021

Thunderbolts - Feb 18, 2022
Captain Marvel 2 - May 6, 2022
Guardians of the Galaxy 3 - July 29, 2022

I think the last slot in that list (or perhaps a 2023 slot) could be a non-avengers team up movie. Obviously the Avengers will continue as a franchise but I think they'll want to diversify the type of teamups and crossovers that can occur. I'm thinking a cosmic team up movie with some combination of the Guardians, Thor, Captain Marvel, Valkyrie, Nova, and a couple of Eternals.

I think Fiege (and James Gunn) are keen to expand that corner of the MCU, almost forming a cinematic universe within a cinematic universe, with spacebound franchises that crossover with one another, occasionally connecting back with the Earthbound heroes.

2020: Black Widow, Shang-Chi
2021: Doctor Strange 2, Spiderman Vs. The Sinister Six, Eternals
2022: Black Panther 2, Guardians 3, Nova
2023: Captain Marvel 2, Thor 4, GiAnt Man and The Wasp, Cosmic Team-Up (titled Infinity Watch?)

Why do people keep thinking that Eternals isn't coming out next year? We have four castings and a production start date. I think it's obviously next in the pipeline after Black Widow, but people keep talking about it not being until 2021...

You're right Eternals and Shang-chi should be switched on my list, as we know that production on Shang-Chi starts after it does on Eternals.

The only thing I'm certain of is Black Widow and Eternals being the two films next year

My Prediction as well

I think we are going to get a Cosmic Team up as well.

My predicted Lineup is Dr Strange, Captain Marvel,Thor,Warlock, Ikaris and Sersi

Doesn't it seem really strange that Marvel has gone from complete visibility for five years or more of films down to the point we're not 100% sure what's coming out next year?

Has Feige or anyone else discussed that shift? Is it partly related to Endgame and their desire to allow that to play out before talking about what's next?

Considering some things have changed in the past and some films are probably dependent on how other films do, I can understand they might want some flexibility, but it's kind of crazy how dramatic the shift has been.

And I to think they lose some marketing edge by not giving fans the chance to plan and look forward to specific films on specific dates.

I definitely think it's primarily because of Endgame. They wanted to keep us in the dark as much as possible about Endgame and by extension what comes after it.

No Guardians?

About Warlock is it possible he could be the villain? Both in Gotg3 and in this hypothetical movie? I know little about the character but he seems like a character who could start off as a villain and then transition into a more anti-heroic role ala Loki.

I hope Strange isn't on any teams but the Midnight Sons. He deserves to lead them.

That's what I expect Warlock starts a villain in GOTG3. Then he switches to hero at the end and joins up with Thor.

So my predicted Lineup goes like this

May 2020 - Black Widow
Nov 2020 - Eternals

Feb 2021 - Shang Chi (reveals that Mandarin is Shang Chi's father )
May 2021 - Black Panther 2
Nov 2021 - Doctor Strange 2

Feb 2022 - Captain Marvel 2
May 2022 - Guardians of The Galaxy 3 (Featuring Thor and introduces Adam Warlock)
Nov 2022 – Antman 3

Feb 2023 – DoomWar
( Clash between Black Panther and the newly introduced Dr Doom. ShangChi will also play a big role in this.Sets up Doom to be the next Big Villain for couple of phases)

May 2023 – Infinity Watch
(Lineup: Dr Strange, Captain Marvel, Thor ,Adam Warlock, Ikaris,Sersi )

Nov 2023 – Doctor Strange 3

Feb 2024 – Shang Chi 2
May 2024 – Fantastic Four (Black Panther,Hulk appear in movie, but Super Skrull is the Main Villain. Setup Captain Marvel 3 :Secret Invasion)
Nov 2024 – Eternals 2

I'm just going off of what's been reported. Black Widow to begin filming in July and Eternals to start filming around Fall with reports also saying Shang-Chi will be the next Marvel movie to begin filming after Eternals.

If I had to guess what the 2021 films were going to be as of now, I'd say Shang-Chi, Guardians 3 and Strange 2 and a possible Spider-Man 3 in there as well. I'm not sure what order those films would be released, but based on the information I've read, that's my likely guess.

I could be completely wrong, but we'll find out this summer during SDCC or D23
I could see this happening, although I'd be very surprised to have a 4-year wait between BP movies considering how well the 1st one did.

Honestly, it would be nice to get a real version of The Defenders.

Yeah, I was a bigger fan of the Defenders than Avengers as a kid. The Defenders had a more interesting group of people.

We got a glimpse in Ragnarok of Hulk, Dr. Strange and Valkyrie in the same film, and that had me thinking of Defenders.

I’m wondering when and where Adam Warlock will show up.

The proper comic Defenders had some really powerful members in their team: Dr Strange, Hulk, Namor, Silver Surfer, Valkyrie. And then there were Nighthawk and Hellcat. The original 5 though would be more than able to take on the early line ups of the Avengers.

They had some powerful foes too who bordered on cosmic types etc such as Nebulon.

Absolutely. In a lot of ways, The Defenders were more of a Marvel type team than The Avengers ever will be.
