What time is the panel Saturday?
I don’t see why it would be addressed there. Tommorow’s presentation will be solely focused on the MCU. New Mutants (if it ever gets released in theaters) is not a MCU film therefore it won’t get any mention since Marvel Studios wasn’t involved.I wonder if New Mutants will be addressed at all in any way. I actually want to check it out because I have to assume it would be better than Dark Phoenix.

If we hear any news about New Mutants it will be that the April 2020 release date has been cancelled, and it’s either shelved completely or it gets dumped on Disney Plus or Hulu, and that news will be from like a trade site like Hollywood Reporter or Deadline not from Marvel themselves. That’s a Fox production that Disney may or may not invest more money in.
Yeah, its gonna be interesting tomorrow.

Guys, the next 10 years have potential to really be interesting. The MCU almost reminds me of Astro City in that things an mostly happen in real time, so people can die, age out, have legacies, etc. So although its Marvel, its a very different Marvel than the comics.
Interesting and great time to be a fan.![]()
Return of Marvel to SDCCNo Comic-con thread?
5:15 PM PST.
Big day tomorrow. Phase IV reveal...Hopefully. Praying for a Spider-Man deal renewal. But I feel like we used up all our karma to get the fox deal closed lol. Trying to keep expectations in check. Mostly expecting a lot of sequels. Maybe one or two cool unexpected announcements.A long-term Spider-Man renewal and Fantastic Four announcements would be the show winners for me. All though something like Nova and Black Knight would probably make more sense. I'm worried tho without a Fox property announcement the Phase IV slate will feel underwhelming. Still hopefully Phase IV is exciting and unique. The Thor 4 confirmation has me pretty hyped. Would be cool to get a villain and storyline confirmation.
I don't believe I've posted my Phase 4 Schedule before.
Black Widow (May 2020) - Production has begun. As long as their aren't any production issues I don't see it not being given this date.
Eternals(November 2020) - New November franchise ala Doctor Strange. Production set to begin in August or September 2019. One year turn around.
Black Panther 2 (February 2021) - Nearly 3 years after the first movie would be in line for a sequel by then. I also believe they are going to Iron Man 2 this sequel and fast track it and get it behind the camera as quickly as possible.
Doctor Strange 2(May 2021) Doctor Strange moves to the big may slot after the positive response to IW and End Game.
Spider-Man 3 (July 2021) Sony sticking to the Spider-Man movie every 2 years schedule. As a result we get 4 movies in 2021.
Shang-Chi (November 2021) Using the November slot to introduce a new Franchise like Doctor Strange in 2016
Captain Marvel 2 (February 2022) -Nearly 3 years after the first movie would be about the right time for a sequel
Guardians of The Galaxy 3 or Thor 4 (May, 2022) - If not Guardians 3 then I guess this could in theory be Thor 4.Even though Thor is typically a November franchise Marvel might feel like its strong enough after Ragnarok,IW,EG to move back to the big may slot. Which it hasn't held since the first Thor in 2011.
Ant-Man 3 or Thor 4 (July 2022) - With Ant-Man it would be nearly 4 years after the second film gives them a decent amount of time to rework the franchise. Could also be Guardians 3 James Gunn might need some extra time after finishing his other movie. Fun fact. Ragnarok was actually supposed to be released in July 2017 but got pushed back to November when Spider-Man came back.
Nova or Black Knight (February 2023) - Using the February slot to introduce a new franchise like they did with Black Panther in 2018
New Avengers (April 2023) Marvel goes back to the 3-4 year gap between Avengers sequels
My predicted slate:
April 2020: Black Widow
November 2020: Eternals
February 2021: Shang-Chi
May 2021: Doctor Strange 2
July 2021: Spider-Man 3 (This date will be a suprise addition to keep the Spidey in July every 2 years going)
November 2021: Thor 4
February 2022: Black Panther
May 2022: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
July 2022: Nova
Will be the announced slate, with
2023: Ant-Man 3
2023: Captain Marvel 2
2023: Spider-Man 4
2023: Fantastic Four
2024: Shang-Chi 2
2024: Avengers 5/New Avengers
2024: Doctor Strange 3
Also in the pipeline. X-Men will follow in 2025.
Even I have to admit, I love your sarcasmOh no! Feige is losing his mojo! He’s clearly becoming a hack! What’s he thinking doing a rare fourth installment about a character who’s third film recently creatively rejuvenated him after his previous middling installments and is one of the few remaining original Avengers that’s not either dead, or gravely injured, or getting his own streaming service spinoff series! Feige has clearly gone bankrupt with ideas indeed!
Feige how could you have forsaken us!

It’s the big day boys.
They’ve got some sort of bomb they’re gonna drop. Either F4, X-men, Hulk, something we’re not quite expecting.
I hope we get that. I’d like to see the focus on Rhodey for once. There are reports of a War Machine streaming show be developed.
EG made easily more than 10 times as much as DP. Even the MCU solos this year are making 4 times as much, and also much more than any X-film. You won’t get taken seriously if you keep repeating aggressive proclamations that turn out to be rubbish like Feige’s Fabled 3 Film rule. If you think Thor 4 is a bad idea, quantify that with a box office guess. How bad are we talking? Only $800m?The MCU is making the same mistakes XCU did, keeping stale characters around too long.
I don’t care about box office, my focus is on creativity, artistic value and wanting to see different heroes. Instead of keeping heroes like Thor that we have already seen in six movies.EG made easily more than 10 times as much as DP.
