Was really expecting Captain Marvel 2 to be subtitled Secret Invasion, but that’s out of the cards now. Fury & Talos have to be involved though, right?

Interesting that the movie will have 3 Marvels though: Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan, & Monica Rambeau.

Wonder what they’re thinking for that movie...

I have no doubt the Kree will be around, but the Disney+ series won’t likely be self-contained and will lead in to the movies. CM2 seems the most obvious fit.

Since that show is branded as Secret Invasion, I think that the story of Secret Invasion will be over by shows end. It could tie into CM2, sure. But likely it will be threads and such carrying over. Not the Secret Invasion itself

That’s fair—I think I heard Feige mention the carryover into film and just assumed the main plot. Maybe just elements of SWORD, and the characters, etc.

Black Panther,' 'Captain Marvel' Sequels Get New Release Dates - Variety

Disney has again overhauled its theatrical release calendar, shifting around dates for “Black Panther 2,” “Captain Marvel 2,” “Thor: Love and Thunder” and numerous other titles.

The studio announced some of these changes at Thursday’s investor day, a four-hour-long presentation that charted Disney’s streaming and theatrical plans for the foreseeable future.

From Marvel, “Thor: Love and Thunder” will open on May 6, 2022, instead of Feb. 11. That delay bumps the “Black Panther” sequel — originally set for May 6, 2022 — to July 8, 2022. In turn, “Captain Marvel 2” was pushed off that July date and was moved to Nov. 11, 2022.

Do you think, they’ll have another presentation very very soon, because that one was for the investors. They need to announce the actor for Moon Knight too and probably the villain for DS2

There’s no way to replace the personalities of Stark, Cap and Widow, but at least on the exotic power variety front we will still be seeing Iron Man style armours through War Machine and Ironheart, Pugh’s Widow style character and Falcon carrying Cap’s shield (and hopefully integrating it well with his wing attacks).

Really? I could see all three joining, no problem. Ruffalo seems to love playing Hulk—a few scenes here and there & a couple weeks work across multiple MCU projects & he’s set to go off and explore his independent/art house projects & activism. Tessa Thomspon too, and I could see Marvel pushing the Lee/Kirby art for Silver Surfer’s aesthetic that should go hand-in-hand with Strange.
