Endgame MCU Post Endgame Speculation *spoilers*

I think cap staying in the past to live his life will have massive ramifications going forward. And we will eventually get Kang the conqueror

Yeah the whole ending just made me think Kang/Immortus is somewhere watching it all and going: "Jesus Christ! Do these ****ers have ANY idea about what they've messed up?!! The paperwork alone...!"

what's gonna be War Machine's role going forward? Is this the last we seen of him or might he have a bigger role in future Avengers films?

Many are now thinking that FFH from home will take place between the end of Homecoming and the beginning of IW since Disney/Sony may not want to have to explain how Peter and his friends are still in HS now that five years have passed since the end of IW and the end of EG. And with Feige saying that FFH is indeed in Phase 3, that lend credence to the theories of its place in the MCU's timeline.

I want to see Captain Marvel rebuild ties to earth in her second movie, and I really hope that Black Panther 2 address the geopolitics of being an African superpower.

Thor with the Guardians is easily my most anticipated future movie. Nothing else excites me unfortunately
Honestly I find myself not really giving a **** about Asguardians of the Galaxy without Valkyrie on board. Thor, Valkyrie, and Hulk’s dynamic in Thor Ragnarok was just so good.

I hope he ends up leading the Avengers when they reform.

Speaking of The Eternals, I have a theory, which I also posted on the Black Widow subforum:

I think Black Widow is intrinsically linked to The Eternals and their story. I've been wondering for a while now why the BW movie is coming out in the same year as The Eternals, and now Endgame has revealed what I think could be the crucial link: Red Skull tells Natasha that she is the "daughter of Ivan". I think "Ivan" in this case could be Ivan Druig, the alias for Druig, the villainous Eternal who becomes a Russian KGB agent and president of a Soviet state in the comics. We already know from the casting reports that Druig will probably show up in The Eternals. If it turned out that Black Widow were the daughter of a god (making her a demigod herself) that could also give her the power upgrade necessary to compete with the other, bigger superheroes like Thor, Scarlet Witch, Doctor Strange, etc. I don't think her death will be permanent, and I think when we see her return, it will be as a post-credits scene for the Black Widow movie, and we'll see Druig too.

I like this theory though it resembles too much of Quill’s story — she doesn’t know her dad who turns out to be a powerful Celestial infiltrating Earth. Not sure if they will go for the same route again.

But then yeah they may have Red Scrull namedropped her dad’s name and she saying not knowing her father for a set up. Red Scrull may also give recognition to only descendants of Important cosmic beings passing through he gate like he mentioned Thanos dad.

About War Machine — if he or anyone else knows how to upkeep the suit he may have to retire from it and pick up something else that’s not a war machine.

I didn’t tag spoilers since thread indicated this is a spoiler thread.

I get the feeling that with Tony no longer around to make the Avengers' tech/gear, I think much of that role in future films will fall upon Shuri/BP/Wakanda and Professor Hulk.

It's been announced long ago by Feige himself that FFH begins minutes after the ending of Endgame, and that it will somehow address its aftermath.

Cheadle is getting up there in age (he'll be 55 in November) so if he is in the next Avengers movie in 4-5 years, it'll likely be his last.

When I think of War Machine, I see him as an Iron Man character and the side kick of Iron Man. He's the Falcon/Bucky to Capt. America. The Valkyrie to Thor. I feel like those characters should have been written out and just make more room for the ones headlining their own flicks and future Avengers members that can't have a solo film. They aren't like Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet and Vision who are more fitting as the Avengers, and half of those four already got their endgame in the films, and maybe even Hawkeye.

It feels as if they were kept so they can continue having some established characters still around who are connected to Tony and Steve but won't necessarily overshadow the likes of CM, BP, and the others expected to lead the next few phases.

I'd rather not have them around. Like people will still remember Iron Man or Cap no matter what. No need for their sidekicks/2.0 versions to stick around instead of having the writers think of something for them to do while the bigger heroes continue to do more. its not like Spidey didn't interact with Tony and TChalla didn't know who Steve was for these sidekicks to continue the legacy of Tony/Steve by appearing in futureAvengers films.

Future Avengers-GoG will be
movies Spiderman FFH, Black Widow, GoG3
series WandaVision, Falcon&Winter

others characters Strange, Black Patnher, Shang Shi will rise in Phase 4

Then F4- X-men would come

The Avengers have had a HUGE rotating roster over the years. There are so many characters we haven't seen yet that can easily fill the voids. Think She-Hulk, Namor, Wonder Man to name a few. They could possibly bring up the likes Luke Cage and Daredevil from the Netflix shows.

OK, unrelated to the previous comments (and I did not feel like looking to see if there was a thread on this, so mods, move if needed), what is the opinion on the post-credit 'sound'. Are they hinting at a return of Tony Stark or was it just closure to the run the same way it began, with Tony forging the armor? Personally, I am hoping they bring him back. Thought it garbage to kill him off.

Well, in the words of Luke Skywalker, "No one's ever really gone." At least in comics. They could bring him back in a lot of ways. At this point, though, Robert Downey Jr. has done 16 films since 2008 and 10 of those were as Tony Stark. It would not surprise me if he's ready for a break from the character. The same can be said of Chris Evans (16 films, 11 as Cap). Let them move on. Let someone else take the spotlight.

Really hope that the Namor Easter egg comes to fruition! He’s awesome, him being the villain of BP 2 would differentiate him from Aquaman, and keep my dream of a 40s Invaders film alive!

I do think that is a Namor easter egg as well.

I hope future films focus on the difficulties of 1/2 the world just suddenly being alive. Jobs need created again, people who moved on for 5 years without others may have other families of their own now, etc. Spider-Man for example, half his peers in Homecoming would have graduated and he would have an entire new 1/2 of a class now. Did Aunt May think he was dead for 5 years or was she dusted?

There is a lot to unravel here.

yeah that was definitely it. They never mention stuff like that without reason

I wonder if there will be any tension or awkwardness between the students who were dusted and the ones who weren't. And imagine little brothers who are now big brothers, and stuff like that. Far From Home shouldn't just gloss over it.

With Hank Pym at a Stark's funeral I would like to think with some peace he returns to service.

But I don't see another Avengers movie. Rather they take the time to introduce the Fantastic Four and X-Men while the sidekicks/Avengers are background heroes

How is this for a cool idea the MCU hasn't done yet: Thor 4/Guardians 3 being a two part mini saga that ties into the 5th avengers movie somehow? Loose adaptation of War of kings?
