That feeling of being annoyed by the guy writers made boyfriends of ours waifus. *place hands gently on shoulders* I can relate to that.

Luke Cage is durable enough to shrug off machine gun fire, no sell rocket launchers and tank hits from Bushmaster and Iron Fist.

No amount of hits from non-superpowered humans, bullets or explosive arrows are going to put him down. Meanwhile, Luke is strong enough to KO Widow or Hawkeye in one hit.

I give it to Luke 9/10 because tasers might slow him down and Hawkeye shooting down his throat might work.

It's worth remembering Luke got an upgrade halfway through his own series (after he fought Jessica). Before that, explosive bullets made from chitauri metal almost killed him but after he was totally immune to them.

Hard one to decide on, no offence but I think Natasha is at best a distraction to allow Clint to get off the perfect shot.

The only two arrows I can remember that could be interesting were these two imo

Melting arrow (probably something like thermite)

Explosive Arrow

Now neither would be confirmed ways to take Luke down but I think they have potential. More so with the thermite arrow especially when you consider that was a Chiutari metal ship as well so it was a pretty sturdy thing to go right through.

Plus the difference in the heat is so much so that surviving an explosion or typical house fire compared to that is night and day.

Think Hawkeye would stay at difference but once Luke clocks him he will catch up to him.

Probably still have to go with Luke as I have to make quite a few assumptions for him to be beat.

How resistant is Luke to electricity? Widow has taser stings and Hawkeye has taser arrows. Maybe they could slow Luke down and then hit him with a powerful enough explosive to KO him ? Doesn't seem likely but it's possible.

If the fight ever gets into hand to hand range it's over because even Widow's guns at point blank aren't going to hurt Luke - unless she shoots him in the eye which still might not kill him . Hawkeye is completely screwed if Luke closes with him.

I give this to Luke 7/10 and 3/10 to Hawk and Widow using a combination of arrows and tasers to stun him.

Suggestion- Luke Cage vs Black Panther or even Black Panther and Okoye.

Black Panther's more agile, faster and more skilled but I'm not sure he could KO Luke. I also don't think Luke hits hard enough to hurt T'Challa when he's wearing a vibranium suit.

Probably a stalemate or a tough win for Black Panther (probably using either vibranium claws or the charged punches that knocked down Cull Obsidian).

Not too sure about it myself but would Luke's skin hold up against something as strong as Vibranium?

That one of the reasons I find it hard to vote against BP in a lot of these.

With some of these fights the combatants' equipment plays a key role ( e.g. which Iron Man suit is Tony using ? ). Just the way it is I guess.

Punisher usually needs a motivation to kill people. In a straight up fist fight he wins easily.

But, Star Lord is simply too silly for him to shoot dead outright, and too crafty to get into a brawl with him. I say Peter suckers him in close and zaps him with his taser beam ( which took out Gamora).

The deadliest woman in the Galaxy couldn't straight up kill Quill, neither could Nebula or Thanos - he's such a loveable goof that no one really wants to kill him.

If the Punisher really cared about killing law breakers he'd do himself in - because he's really just a serial killer who preys on criminals.

Hmm, Star Lord has superior firepower, flight and high tech gadgets.

On the other hand, Punisher is a superior marksman and tactician, plus he's lethal in close quarters.

I think I'll vote Punisher since Star Lord isn't bullet proof.

I think you're overstating P's willingness to kill people. Generally he restricts himself to criminals and scumbags - Quill, while a thief, is hardly on a par with most of the dirt bags that Frank deals with.

Yeah, it's out of character for Punisher to try to kill Star Lord but no more so than other things we've talked about like Black Widow shooting Jessica Jones or Thor using his axe against Captain Marvel.

This is a versus thread, not the actual story. Personally I just presume they're fighting the way they do against villains and then ask myself who would win.
