MCU vs thread....controversy and chaos

Yeah, it's out of character for Punisher to try to kill Star Lord but no more so than other things we've talked about like Black Widow shooting Jessica Jones or Thor using his axe against Captain Marvel.

This is a versus thread, not the actual story. Personally I just presume they're fighting the way they do against villains and then ask myself who would win.

This argument wins it for me. If the Punisher is really trying to kill Quill - and the Punisher doesn't really fight anyone he doesn't want to kill, so the vs. concept pretty much require that he is - he can adjust for the flight and the gadgets and his weapons are just as lethal as Quill's and his skill level is massively higher. Punisher wins.

Hmm, Star Lord has superior firepower, flight and high tech gadgets.

On the other hand, Punisher is a superior marksman and tactician, plus he's lethal in close quarters.

I think I'll vote Punisher since Star Lord isn't bullet proof.

In those circumstances it comes down to equipment and position - as Punisher likes to either snipe people from a distance or shoot and stab them multiple times close up.

TBH I found some of his gunfight scenes a bit ridiculous - as if trained soldiers couldn't react fast enough to get any shots off at him. When he attacks by surprise fair enough but at times he out Rambos Rambo, it reminded me of a first person shooter video game.

Star Lord because of the enhanced tech and weapons he can use to pretty much dust punisher to fine particulate matter. He could just hover above him high and drop all kinds of laser blasts and grenades on Punisher.. If it was a straight up fist fight, then obviously punisher...

What about Peggy Carter vs Falcon with no powers or tech? Just hand to hand in a cage? Falcon is just an ok fighter at best. I suspect Peggy would kick his ass

Lethality is Frank's game and apart from his helmet Quill has a lot of open target to hit.

Doesn't seem very sporting does it ? Kind of cowardly to snipe an unsuspecting opponent. I guess as an audience we have less of a problem with Frank doing that to gang bangers , mobsters , drug dealers and killers.

I see your point I was just thinking more in the terms of Castle’s military experience he’s surely gonna try and use every advantage he has, we all know Franks not exactly known for playing nice lol.

Kilmonger. I dont know if Drax's knives can penetrate the vibranium suit- and even if they could Kilmonger is more skillful and could probably parry/dodge. While Drax might get knocked around by the kinetic blast it's the claws that are the real threat.

I would give this to Kilmonger at least 7/10 times.

Drax is stronger but he probably still couldn't hurt Killmonger through that vibranium suit.

MCU Drax has some downright stupid durability feats but again these god damn vibranium suits are just so much of an edge I have to go with Killmonger.

Unless he can get the drop on him with his stealth skills

After Far From Home definitely Spider Man. He's way too fast and at least as strong and as tough as she is- a lot less skillful but his enhanced senses more than make up for it. Also he's a genius and slowly becoming a decent tactician - Gamora is a good straight up fighter but has demonstrated very little tactical thinking in her fights ( although not as little as Nebula).

While Gamora could probably burst through his webbing she's vulnerable to tasers so a taser web shot takes her out.

Strength
Now this is a rough one because im not away to sit and do equations for the next hour or so but I think Gamora's best strength feat is the cannon from GOTG2 which after a few searches people seem to think weighed roughly about 36000lbs/18 tons (if it was made of iron) now space metal very often tends to look to be lighter but as we don't know that we will go with that. Spidey's I think is the jet bridge feat which I cant find a specific weight have read anything from 10 to 30 tons but we also have to account for impact force. Edge Spidey

Agility
Honestly this is one edge I feel just has to go to Peter his agility is one of his most well known abilities and while Gamora is no slouch I cant think of anything on her part that makes me think she'd have the edge. Edge Spidey

Speed
Much like agility I think this is a hard one to root against Spidey in as he can use his web shooters for an added boost while Gamora is on foot. Edge Spidey.

Endurance
Might be the closest one both have tanked ridiculous blunt force shots and we know both would die from falling a large height. Both have some ridiculous one but gonna go with Gamora as she seemed ready to go almost moments after being rescued from deep space while Peter did need some treatment after being hit by the train. Experience
This one is pretty cut and dry, Gamora has been battle hardened over a long period of time while Spidey is really still just getting his feet wet. Edge Gamora

Equipment
Gamora seemed a lot more spartan in this department opting for simply using swords and knives. Spidey has 576 different web shooter combinations as well as Karen to provide tactical information. Edge Spidey

4-2 Spidey with the Iron Spider suit gets the nod from me.
